After an hour or so, Sandra woke up to a thud-thud outside her room. She rubbed her eyes, making it itch even more and yawned.
Those sounds sounded like footsteps. And they were nearing her room.
"Who could that be?", she wondered.
"Lady Sandra, it is Benjamin here!", said a soft voice.
"Oh! Shoot me!"
"But, why would Benjamin shoot you, miss?"
"Oh. Never mind."
Sandra quickly got up, washed her face, combed her hair and opened the door, expecting little Benjamin to be waiting for her.
No.
There stood Bethan and Cerys, both looking flushed.
"AAGH!"
"Oh, no! Don't panic, fy mhlentyn, calm down!", said Cerys.
"OK. Guys, you just scared me shit hard! Where is Benjamin?"
"He's gone to do some work of Lady Anna's." This time, Bethan spoke, shyly.
"Okay, then. I am ready to meet Lady Anna."
Sandra put on her special poker face while saying "lady".
"Like this? I mean, Lady Anna is already complaining about your dressing. We have change your style, fy mhlentyn! Don't worry. Bethan and I are experts!", said Cerys, winking at Sandra.
The next few moments were living hell, for Sandra.
They first made her put on some simple white long gown with sleeveless tunics. They washed her face again and began with applying something like flour on her face.
"Ew! What is that?!"
"Oh, that's blaunchet, darling. It will make your face pale and pretty!"
"How can pale be pretty?", wondered Sandra.
Next, they did something awful to her.
"OW!", yelled Sandra.
"I'm sorry Lady Sandra. I had to do it.", said Bethan looking scared.
"Oh. It's fine. It's just that I am getting my eyebrows plucked for the very first time."
Cerys said with a chuckle," I remember the first time I got mine plucked! It hurt so much, that I kicked my sister and ran from the room! Well, your eyebrows are thick as a forest, dear!"
"Thanks, Cerys. Wait. Can I call you that?"
"Yes, dear. Why not?"
Sandra got so bored that she started to count the number of freckles Bethan had. They had taken one hour to do the makeup part. They had also applied eyeliner, eyeshadow, something that looked like a lip-gloss but it smelled like strawberry. Strawberry flavor, maybe.
"Cerys?"
"Yes, darling?"
"Why does Lady Anna look so funny?"
"Hush dear! The walls have ears!", said Cerys as she finished her final touches.
As Sandra walked towards the mirror, Cerys and Bethan walked, well floated, behind her.
In the mirror, Sandra could see someone. Someone who was very pretty. But, very different from herself. No, this was not her. Yet, she somehow liked his new girl.
"So? How is it?"
"Um... good?"
"hyfryd! Come, let's go!"
"So, Lady Anna. Here I come."

"I see you have made yourself a little presentable."
"Well, I had to."
"Of course! Lady Anna has her students filled with grace and poise!"
Cerys suddenly said, "Lady Sandra is now ready madam. Shall we go?"
Lady Anna narrowed her eyes at Sandra and almost whispered, "Is she?"
"Oh yes, madam! Lady Sandra is absolutely ready!"
Sandra suddenly realized that Bethan had talked so boldly. Bethan then gave her a shy smile. Sandra smiled back.
"Well then! Bethan and Cerys, you may now go."
Both the fairies then went outside the room and the door closed with a soft thud.
Suddenly Lady Anna clapped her hands and boom.
The room turned into an endless white space. It had no doors or windows. It had huge screens for walls and all of them displayed one word.
Sandra stared blankly at the screens and spent ten minutes trying to pronounce what was written on them.
"T-Y-L-W-Y-T-H T-E-G Academy", Sandra said slowly.
But what she actually said sounded something like "TILE-WYTH-TEG".
"Oh dear! I hoped you would at least be good with your welsh pronunciations!", Lady Anna said, glaring at Sandra.
And then it began.
"Yeah, I would be. If someone actually taught me."
"Quite so. Good virtues rarely run in the blood."
"I can see where all the good looks of your parents went though."
"Isn't it so unfortunate that your parents didn't have any to pass it down?"
"Are you sure you looking at my face? Coz I have a hunch you are looking into a mirror."
Lady Anna opened her mouth a little, and closed it back, realizing she didn't actually have anything to say.
"Lady Sandra, I think it's about time we stop this tomfoolery. Let me now tell you about our grand institute!"
Sandra wanted to get up, do a happy jig, and scream"YOU LOST! HA! HA!" on Lady Anna's face. But all she said was,"Enlighten me", with a small grin.
