"You know what it is, it's an F-Bomb.Yeap, the F-bomb. The best kind of explosive weapon you can get. Me. Now, I'm pretty sure yous all know why I'm here. Whazzat? No? You don't? Well then, see those apostrophes? Yeah, that means someone's talking, which I think yous all has figured it already. Can't stand these spelling mistakes? Too bad, it's part of my accent. I wasn't born Engilsh. Now, the PMS Ginger is taking a bath, and I suppose you want me to narrate, yah perverted punks. Screw off, I'm not a sapiophile, Folk are an execption, and lemme remind yah. See that apostrophe? That means she can hear me! Yeah, she can, she's narrating this after all, but hey, before she figures out something let me tell yous what's going to happen. She's gonna bust out, wrapped in her towel and try to shank me with a dagger. Hahaha-urk gah-"
Fox gasped at I plunged the knife into the back of his skull. He'll live, just he'll be acting like a carpet for a while. Who was he talking to? I don't know, nothing this guy says makes any sense at all. He never did. I quickly dried and clothed myself. I made way to my cloak, half dragging Fox by his tail and tossed him in. I'm pretty sure he came from my cloak, I don't know how he does that, he just does. No one in his clan can do it, the Elders don't know why and they don't know how, I'm guessing he's been studying this kind of thing with Sabrina, or Tiff. Depends on what day it is.
Not going to stand here and guess, hop skip and jump, I went through my cloak, while grabbing a fold, so I can take it with me and appeared in me and Lucy's room.
I heard a knock on the door as I slipped my cloak on, I walked over and opened it. It was Xiang, and his dog, Buster, beside him. He tilted his head, "Can I come in?"
"A no would be pretty rude wouldn't it?" I said. He shrugged and drifted in, his dog tailing behind him. He 'sat' on his part of the bed, and held his head with his hands.
"Turning in?" I asked. He shook his head, "No, can't sleep, I don't think I can, not this night, after all that."
"I think you mean 'after that ', I don't think that little spectre hunt should freak you out, I mean you swipe off a lot of things, but I understand, that little ordeal can be trumatizing. Ask Lawrence."
"I know about it, you bit him, sucked him dry, for a while he was KIA, something about desert leeches, he acted so proud when he told me that though, he said that he saved you."
"He did, there was no water, and we were dying of thirst. We had no choice, its do or die."
"I though vampires are immortal?"
"Play your cards right, then you are. Drying up is not the best way to die as a vamp, the best way is to drown in blood. I don't agree with that though, I'd rather die by stake, I die in battle, better reason for Lark to give me a place in Heaven."
"Vamps go to Heaven?" asked Xiang. He looked confused. I think it's something to do with us being devil spawn. I nodded, "Everyone goes to Heaven, everyone. People get judged fairly, and get sent to where they belong. Execpt ghosts, the Spirit of Vengance does not allow them to go anywhere, like you. You have unfinished business to do."
"I'll figure it out, eventually." said Xiang with a grim smile, he doesn't know, ghosts never do, like Lawrence, he doesn't know what's he's supposed to do, but he gets occupied by being a butler. Some ghosts go insane thinking about this, some get bored and start to scare people, some...some cease to exist. I sighed, "If you think so, but you'll probably need some help, the von Berringwood kind of help."
"Err...I think I don't need that kind of 'help'," said Xiang. Dammit Lucy, why are you so direct all the time? Look at this guy! His flames are dimmer now, I don't think that's good. "Your flames are dim, you okay?"
"Just thinking, maybe a bit creeped out. That. What she did, wasn't cool. Am I still bleeding?" asked Xiang as he tilted his head so that I can see his neck. Small fang marks can be seen on his neck, but he's not bleeding. Then again, why would he bother? "Why do you bother?"
"I don't like the cold slimy feeling down my back, yes, my skin works too, along with many things of my body," said Xiang. I perked up, a joke formed in my head and I said, "Oh? Many things you say?"
Xiang's eyes narrowed, I think they narrowed, they were already narrow in the first place. That wasn't racist at all, not one bit. "That was a good one, I must say," said Xiang with a small smile. I smiled too, at least I'm lightening up the mo-
Another knock came, it sounded urgent. I grew up in this place, learned how to behave like a 'true' princess would, I know what an urgent knock sounds like. Don't judge. I got off the bed, careful to not bump my head on the other bed above me and made my way towards the door.
It swung open right before I could reach it. It was the same lieutenant I've seen earlier tonight, he was armored this time, he looked pretty shaken. He pointed down the corridor that led to my room, "Y-your Highness! We have another problem, t-the beast, it's coming!"
"Wait that thing is coming? The black ghost thing?"
"Nein! Nein! It's something else! It's like a dog, but...not a dog..mouth too big. too many teeth, too many joints, looks scarier than Chef's first attempt to make zoervleis, took down too much of my men, pikes don't hurt it, hide too thick, can't draw enough blood to kill it!" said the lieutenant.
Dog? A dog? The Berringwood Royal Guard can't fight a dog? That's a first. Then again, he did say it's not a dog, what does that mean? "Is it a hellhound?" Xiang's voice came from behind me. The lieutenant looked at him and said "Nein, It's not a hellhound, we would know, this, this thing, its no hellhound, its a demon. It must be a demon!"
A strange distorted howl came from beyond the corridor, it sounded like a wolf with a sore throat trying to howl while swallowing dilute acid. The lieutenant's face turned paler than it was supposed to be, he was a vamp after all. Out of nowhere, a strange four legged creature pounced on him, it did not look normal, the mouth had three rows of teeth, the first row jutted out painfully out of the creature's mouth, its lips were bloodied, either from a fresh kill or because of how its teeth were placed. The legs seemed to be broken up into more joints than I can count, in fact I'm not even sure if that thing can run at all. It was about the size of a wolf, and it had a few broken pike heads sticking out of its body. It does not look like it cares about them though. I slammed the door immediately, not caring about what the lieutenant's fate, a blood chilling cry filled the air.
"Meine Beine! Meine Beine! Ist scharfes mein beine! Gott helfe mir! Helfe mir!" screamed the lieutenant and then silence, except for that weird growling sound outside the door. Xiang looked at me, as if expecting a translation from me. I looked at him and shook my head, "The lieutenant is dead now."
"I know," said Xiang quietly. "What was that thing?"
"I don't know dude," I said. As soon as I finished, I heard the sound of wood snapping, and that weird howling noise. Lark. It's breaking the door. "I don't intend to find out just yet," I said as I shadowcloaked Xiang and I out of the room, the darkness enveloping us just as the creature finished breaking down the mahogany door. I thought I heard its howl as I disappeared into the shadows.
