The Kitchen

We've finally reached the kitchen. I know what you're expecting, you're expecting a bloody kicthen covered with the flesh, blood and splinters of bone of the servants that used to work in the kitchen and the head chef having his head impaled in a meat hook with the tip poking out of his left eye.

Unfortunately its terribly false. Instead, the kitchen is actually a black void behind doors that smells slightly like dishwasher. Xiang looked around the kitchen with bewilderment, "Is this the right place?"

<Ahh, your highnesses, I'm sorry but I'm afriad that you've already eaten dinner and I believe I will not be serving until it's breakfast time as your mother was quite strict on your diet, and I don't have time anyway, for I have a pest problem to deal with,>

The voice struck us audibly as well as in my head, I smiled and replied, "Chef, you said something about a pest problem?"

<Yes,> said Chef, I can't pronounce his real name neither can most of us, so we just call him Chef. He's this huge Eldritch Abomination that is melded into the castle - well I assmue Chef is a male, you can't tell with Eldritch Abominations - he doesn't mind being held down, just as long as people get to try his cooking, and let me tell you something. It's amazing. Suddenly a long black tube sprouted out of the ground beside Xiang, pointed at me, and out of the tube came out a small tongue that shaked whenever Chef pronounced a syllable, <Indeed, I have a pest problem, it's black, it has no face, it broke one of my many tongues and even destroyed one of my hands, it's going to take many of your minutes to grow them back now,>

Xinag stared at one of Chef's tongues and said "Hey, is this guy Japanese?"

"No, 8th realm, past the fabric of space time," replied Lucy. <18th realm, child,> corrected Chef. Xiang continued staring at Chef's tongue and said "So...is this your mouth?"

<It's one of my tredecillion tongues that I use to taste and cook food with actually, I use my hands to wash the plates, not cook,> said Chef. Xiang blinked, "Soo...are we supposed to shake hands now or something?"

<If you wish to young one,> said Chef as a long spider limb-like appendage sprouted out the ground beside Xiang, Xiang looked at it with bewilderment and stared at the small three-way claw that was at the end of the limb. Poor dude just got a confession and now he has to stand Chef, the castle's Eldritch Abomination. Poor Dude must be mind blown now, cause mine shattered when I first met Chef here, to top that off he had almost all his tongues out that time, so there was slime everywhere. Anyways, seeing that Xiang gets used to everything really quick, so quick it's not normal to me, he grabbed the claw and gave it a good strong handshake. I whispered to Lucy and said "Dayum, he adapts fast,"

"Wow...I didn't know that..." said Lucy sarcastically.  I rolled my eyes, she's probably still pissed. <I can feel the pest within me, children, I believe that's your target, he's in the place where I cook, stop him! He's tickling me!>

As soon as he finished a huge hole appeared in front of us, it's dark, it's wet and it smells weird, I assmue that's his mouth. <Jump in, it'll take you to the kitchen,>

Lawrence looked into the hole and said to us, "Laydees first, laddies second,"

In responce, I kicked him into the hole while yelling. "After you!"

Normally that would be mean and harsh to any person, but we have this little thing going one between us called 'pranks' and have you seen the guy? He's already dead and he always lands on his...feet? I don't know anyother word to describe it. Meh. I shrugged at that thought and jumped down after him, using my cloak as a makeshift parachute. Floathing, yes I used a Sammi term there, down gently. My shoes went clank as I landed on a metal floor, the air smelled like dishwasher, I looked around and well...it's a kitchen, with a double door, I saw a bunch of Chef's arm's growing out of the wall, most of them are at the sink, washing plates. Some are sweeping up what looked like broken pieces of some plates, some are putting pots and pans back into place.

I heard a scooping sound above me and looked up, I saw Lucy grabbing Xiang by the waist, I'm going to assume she used him as to lower herself into the pit instead of jumping down. I'm more suprised that Xiang would take her after their little incident. Then again she did pour most of her sexual tension out when she tried explaining to him. Look, I don't believe she likes him, but when a guy and a girl are in a room, alone, they usually have this kind of tension called, 'sexual tension', that's how crushes are formed and that's where puppy love happens. Happens alot to many, many people, except Fox, he's different. I'm beggining to think he's gay.

You see he usually hangs out with a Half-Wolf Folk called Jenny Ryzhikov, five years later? Why isn't she pregnant yet I have no idea.

Anyways, back to the main problem here, I looked around and asked "Is that thing still here?"

One of the spidery 'hands' beckoned us over to what looked like a drawer, it gestured for us to be ready, counting down from one to three. When the third claw is folded, it yanked the drawer and-

"Hahahahahahahaha! Wahahahahahaha! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

That damned laugh again, and it came burst thing out of the drawer, scattering forks and spoons all over the place. It 'stood'  on top of one of the metal tables, its head fazing through one of the metal bars that was supposed to hang the pots up. It locked eyes with Xiang, and then Lawrence, probably because both of them are already dead and it's regarding them as the two guys who are able to directly chase him down.

Xiang's flames turned red and he said "Stand down and come quietly-"

"BURN!" yelled Lawrence. His accent made it look funny, but what he did was the complete opposite. He blasted his white flame towards the spectre, the metal table immediately melted into slag metal as soon as he was done. I looked at him and narrowed my eyes, "What did you expect to achive from that?"

He shrugged and said "I don't know, we got him though,"

Among the slag heap was a black pool of sludge, I've seen enough 'dead' ghosts to know that that thing is gone, it'll be a while before it comes back. I frowned, "Well, that was a short one, I expected this to last all night,"

"Don't tell me you're up all night to get lucky?" said Xiang. He's referencing a song, I'll have to do the same then, "We can do this all night, Xiang, we can do this all night,"
