Fox just charged in like that, he's going to get shredded, those guy's are carrying some wicked loking weapons. Wicked as in I want one for myself. Instead, Fox's mad charge for glory startled the Svartelves, yes, the shorter name is svartelves, and made some of them scatter, and then one of them speared him and the other cut his head off. He probably would be dead a long time ago if Sabrina did cast her 'Unkillable' Spell, which can only be casted once every 100 years during a blue moon when a white cat is born at exactly 8:00 p.m., on the wrong target, a.k.a. Fox, that made him reckless as a young bull in a china shop. The svartelf that cut his head off laughed and held his head up to his face to get a good look at him, Fox opened his mouth and spat fire into the svartelf's eye. The svartelf dropped him and one of them kicked the head back to us.
"Heh, not quite there yet," said Fox's head as he landed right next to Sam, Sam picked him up and hugged him tightly, like how she tends to hug her teddy when she's scared, that'll probably keep Fox's mouth shut for a while. Now for the matter at hand, I'm busy slicing and dicing at the svartelves with my iron sword, I just needed on cut to make them turn to dust, no wonder the dwarves wiped these guys out. I remember reading somewhere about svartelves being weak to iron.
I suddenly felt somthing touch my back, I turned around and saw Lucy, in her hands was her scythe, she turned to look at me and said "This is all my fault!"
"Oh why's that?"
"I showed her this version of Svartalfheim when I could have showed her something less scary and violent, like give it a few rainbows here and there and a unicorn, but I can't lie to her! She's my youngest sister, I decided can't pamper her too much and now she gets nightmares from this."
"Dude, she's just a kid," said Xiang as his back went against our left shoulders, "That's messed up, you don't show a kid scary things until her brain can cope with them! Like, when she's older or something!," Further away I heard Lawrence's voice saying "So you mean I can't show her-" He was cut off when I ran my sword through a svartelf, making it drop it's weapon, which clattered when it hit the ground. I then heard Xiang yelled "Dude, dude! That's gross!"
"A compliment is a compliment, no matter how disturbing it is!" Kat yelled over the sound of her svartelves. Her palms were glowing red with blood magic, the spell allows her to force the blood out of the mouth of anyone she touches. She still hasn't taught me how to do blood magic, but it sounds wicked.
Suddenly the scene changed again, and it felt familiar, it felt like...
"Lawrence! By the Sanguine! What the hell are you doing?!" yelled Lucy, it sounded further away, but Lucy was right beside me. I found out that we were in the barracks, wait, I remember this, this was one of Lawrences OCD attacks. This is how his attacks work, he tries to clean up, but the stress of cleaning up a mess, and usually it's caused by a big mess, ends up with him accidentally setting somethings on fire, which causes him to set more things on fire if he can't put it out on time. The barracks moment however, was his worst. He burnt the entire place to the ground and if I remember correctly I found him curled up in a 'corner' of the ashes. The worst thing was that he does not show an expression when the attacks happen, and we have no idea of knowing when they happen because they happen so suddenly, and we were absolutely unprepared when the 'Kasernebrand' , that's what the soldier's called it, happened. I was watching it happen again, this time from Sam's point of view. Apparently, the scene was acting itself out right in front of us, I tried to move, but I couldn't, I couldn't even talk. All I could do was stand and watch, I saw myself shadowcloaking Lucy and myself away. Kat was no where to be seen in this scene as she wasn't present during that time, and I saw Sam cowering under a fallen shield, which, protected her from the fire. Hell, I didn't even know she was there when the 'Kasernebrand' happened, no wait, she wasn't, something was wrong with this vision.
There was someone else in the flames, I couldn't make out who, but it was definately not a Folket, or a ghost. Lawrence's eyes were glued to the shadowy figure in the flames like a hawk would eye a mouse. Next thing I knew, he looked directly at me, me in the vision, ignited his body with white flames and lunged. Vision Me, I'm gonna call that Angie 'Vision Me' bear with me here, would dodge, and Lawrence didn't seem to be attacking Vision Me, instead he tackled something behind me and tumbled into the fire. On the corner of the vision I saw Xiang, which confirms the point that this was not the 'Kasernebrand' , he was fighting with someone, the clash of swords can be heard over the roar of the flames, the person he was fighting was moving fast, too fast for me to make out, but Xiang parried the guy's hits like he had been praticing for ages, his Dao made a 'ping-ing' noise every time he parried, and with a swing he turned a parry into a circular movement that disarmed his attacker, the weapon flying into the flames.
The scene shifted as quickly as it began, this time we were surrounded in darkness, which made Sam make a whimpering sound. To my left, dim lights flickered, which was probably Xiang's soul flames, he was the first to talk after the vision, "What the heck was that?"
"The hell would I know?" said Lawrence as he ignited his hand, illuminating a small portion of the area, I saw him open his mouth again as if about to talk, but he was cut off by Kat, "Bitte schweigen! Don't you hear that? It sounds like chanting." I concentrated on my hearing and I heard it, it was low chanting, and I did not understand it. I heard a sniff, followed by a sound of disgust, it came from Fox. "That is not good, we don't need a new King of Burgeon Isle, we agreed to not have one anymore after Burgeon Jr." Fox's eyes glowed in the dark like orange orbs, he turned to Lucy and asked, "Recognise it?"
"Yes, sadly, I do." Lucy said. "It's the Folk's coronation of accepting Burgeon I as the ruler of Burgeon Isles, but this one...This one is..." Lucy paused for a while, under the light of Lawrence's flame, I saw her wrinkle her nose and lick her fangs, "Twisted." She said the word with uncertainty, as if she couldn't comprehend the full meaning of it. Fox shook his head, "No words to describe it in our language, unless you do this." His tail erected and his fur poofed up, making him look like a fluffly plush toy, but his ears flattened themselves against his head and his mouth curled into a snarl, he then gashed his teeth at the air, and finally he let out a blood-curdling shriek out of his throat, the sound that normal foxes make. He then recomposed himself and sat down, "That's how I would describe it."
"It's aw going to happen." Sam murmured, "It's not jwst a dweam is it?"
"Nope, Nightmare Fuel or not, what we're seenin here, is gonna happen." Fox narrowed his eyes, " Don't know when, but it's gonna happen."
