Shutting the door behind her, Sigyns mind was sent into a frenzy. Everything was changing so quickly. Too quickly. She would have never thought that she would wake up in a princes bed with a prince next to her. Much less, have another prince want her to be like a friend, to use his actual name when talking to him. It was just all too much for her to comprehend in so little time.

Her new job starts tomorrow and she was going to be expected to complete her job in a quick and timely manner. How could she possibly be able to clean both princes rooms to their liking and not be distracted. Not to mention, she was also going to be expected to wait for their every command 24/7 and get two other rooms cleaned. She wasn't obligated to know who was staying in those rooms. She was simply told by the head maid that those people were to be treated almost equal to the royal family.

Sigyn walked only a footstep towards her room before meeting the piercing hazel green eyes of her mother. "You have stepped outside the clearly painted line between servant and master." Her mother boomed at her, not even trying to hide the more than visible anger in her voice. "My dear child," She breathed, tears forming in her eyes. "You are going to have a much rougher time now, all of the servants, guards, even other royalty are going to be keeping a close eye on you. You are no longer going to be safe."

Sigyn was taken aback by her mothers quick change in moods. Never had she seen her mother like this, at least, not since her father died and her mother was the one to break the news.

"Mother, there is no reason to worry. Prince Loki Odinson has already pointed out these obvious reasons. I will be fine, the ones who have any importance in my life will stay with me. I have no need for the ones that will only be jealous of my achievements." Sigyn claimed, a bright smile appearing across her face as her mother collapsed in her arms. "Shh, mother," Sigyn comforted her, stroking her fingers in her mothers short grey hair. It wasn't the nicest feeling, it had a rough and gritty feel to it. But Sigyn didn't care, that simply meant her mother was working far too hard for her to care about things as silly as beauty. "Everything will be fine," Sigyn claimed, her soothing voice seeming to calm her mother down a bit as fiery hot tears streamed down her face.

"Oh, my daughter. You are far too wise for your years," She claimed, straightening her stance to meet her daughters beautiful bright blue eyes, "Promise me to be more like a child. At least when you're with the person who will truly care for you." She claimed. The poor woman saw so much of her husband in her daughter. Sometimes it would scare her when she would see her child working so hard in the halls, to be running a fever and know her part in life. Even now, she was still surprising her with the uncanny similarities.

"Don't worry momma," Sigyn whispered, remembering how she would call her mother when she was a child. "I most certainly will."

They stayed locked in each other's arms for only a couple minutes more, neither knew exactly why, but it felt as though something terrible would happen if they hadn't. Each had their fair share of sobs and giggles. But as they heard bells in the distance, signally the beginning of the second part of the royal family's largest party, the two parted ways, as her mother was summoned to fill Sigyn's position in the party.

"Mother," Sigyn breathed, "Please be safe." Something about tonight didn't sit well with Sigyn, especially after the incident a couple days ago, she was more than a little worried that her mother could possibly run into something that could get her killed.

Her mother formulated what little of a smile she could and then bid Sigyn farewell, telling her that she should go and rest. Of course, Sigyn didn't exactly listen, she had far too much on her mind to even begin to start thinking of rest. She still needed to freshen up for when she was to be given a tour by Thor.
