Sigyn's eyes fluttered open to a dark and unfamiliar room. Her fingers curled themselves into the soft and silky sheets that surrounded her, her eyes widening at how smooth they were. Her eyes darted down in front of her and she found dark green satin sheets surrounding her. She was laying in a four poster bed, equally green drapes hung from each. Pillows surrounded her head as she tried to turn and get a better look of the room.
It was dark, all of the windows she could see were completely covered in equally thick green curtains with golden linings. The walls were almost completely gold, other than the large book shelves to her right. It was covered completely with old, tattered looking books. Something sparkled from the corner of her eye, Sigyn could move quickly enough to see what it was. But something near the bookshelf didn't seem quite right.
"Good morning," A deep and chilling voice uttered beside her.
She shivered at the sound, slightly craning her head to see a man with raven hair going just an inch past his ears, deep green and blue eyes peering curiously at her as the man looked up at her from where he rested his chin on his crossed arms, leaning against the bed. He was paler than most Asgardian men, but perhaps that was also a result of spending so much time in a dark room.
"Good morning," Sigyn choked out, her throat coarse for some reason. Shivering, she wrapped the covers closer to her, bringing her knees up to her chest and looked further towards the man. "W-who are you? Where am I?" She asked, worried as to where the strange man from earlier had taken him. He gave her a sickening feeling, a feeling that made her wish she was dead, rather than fulfill whatever he wanted her to.
"Loki," He uttered lowly, a scowl appearing across his face. He stood from where he sat and gave her a mischievous smirk, "You might know me." He claimed, circling around the room, studying her every move as her pale blue eyes followed his every step.
Oddly enough, Loki found himself curious with the girl. While he watched over her, after reluctantly giving up his room to make sure the severely sick girl would live, he found that she was restless. As though she was always alert for something terribly to happen. It made him intrigued with what she had to offer, what she would do for herself and others.
"I-I'm terribly sorry your majesty," Sigyn uttered, beginning to stand up but finding it too painfully to even move. "I-I'll leave immediately."
Loki put up his hand, motioning for her to stop, although the fierceness in his eyes made it seem more like a command to Sigyn. "No need." Loki told her, standing at the foot of his bed. "You are far too ill to move. You're lucky my brother shows mercy, it was he who had brought the family doctor as soon as possible, forcing me to give up my room, since it was closest, of course. Once you are better you are to repay my brother and I for our kindness." Loki claimed, a small smile appearing on his face. One that almost seemed sincere, but Sigyn had heard stories of how Loki was, she knew better than to trust him upon the first meeting.
"W-what shall that be your majesty?" Sigyn whispered, her voice lingered with pain and uncertainty. She didn't know what to make of her situation, why would Thor save her? She heard countless of stories of the two brothers. How Thor only carried about fighting and women, while Loki only cared about himself and the throne. So why did it seem that there was another side of things?
"You will be the cleaning maiden of our chambers, be noted that you must announce yourself before coming in. I assume that you're still new to your position, especially since you have caused such a disturbance in the first party you attend." Loki sneered, giving her a deathening glare before relaxing his face. She seemed terrified of what was going to happen. A large sigh escaped his lips as he pinched the bridge of his nose.
