Sigyn awoke in her bed early the next morning while her mother was still asleep next to her. She could tell that she had a rough and exhusting night, so she tried her best to remain quiet as she began to dress herself in her maids dress.

She had gotten a new one thanks to her sudden promotion. It wasn't an overly attractive piece of fabric, but it did seem to be more held together compared to her old and worn out one.

Quickly grabbing a piece of bread from their make-shift pantry, she dashed out to the royal corridors. Her first room would be Loki's, at least for this particular morning. Thor was rather drunk last night and she could already predict that he would not be up until noon, which was normal behavior for the prince, and she was not wishing to disturb his rest. Loki, on the other hand, was known in the servants circle to be quite an earlier riser. Her friend, one of the castle bakers, would often comment of how early he would sometimes have to get up to beat the prince to breakfast in order to do his job correctly.

Turning the last corner, Sigyn finally arrived at the God of Mischief's door. It was large and intimidating, she was coming to the conclusion that just walking in would mark the start of a new path in her life. Was she ready for everything to change? To start waiting on the princes, to gradually know a different part of them?

Her cold, white knuckles were mere inches away from the door. She was hesitating. Her cheeks flushed with memories of last night. As she had thought, this job was impossible. There was no way she could possibly deal with Loki's constant teasing. If it had just been Thor she was assigned to, things would be different. But this, this was Loki.

Sigyn's heart pounded as she was startled out of her mind by the door creeping open.

"Are you going to stand there all day or are you going to do your work?" Loki sneered, his eyes gazing over her for a tad too long.

"Y-yes, my Prince," Sigyn apologized, curtsying as she walked past the prince with her cleaning supplies in hand. She began to turn to his bed, wanting to make it first, but to her surprise it was already made. "My Prince, I am so sorry I did not come sooner." She claimed, assuming that she had already messed up.

Loki waved his hand, "No need," He muttered nonchalantly, "I don't need a maid to do everything for me. For Odin's sake, I'm not still potty trained." He sneered.

Sigyn gave a slight giggle, although she did her best to hide it. Gazing up to see if he heard it, she knew immediately that she had failed. He looked taken aback and for a moment she was frightened that she had angered him. But thankfully, he decided to ignore it.

"I'm sure you were upset with being unable to tour Thor's chambers." He claimed, his tone sounding slightly irritated.

As she was straightening up his desk and counters, she turned slightly to view him. His eyes were trained on her, watching her every move. She would be lying if she said she wasn't feeling quite self-conscious of herself.

"Hmm," She hummed quietly, wondering why he was in such a talkative mood. Normally, the royal family, except Thor, would ignore the servants. But for some reason Loki was not.

"Prince Thor was exhausted after fulfilling his duties at the party, naturally, he should rest on such occasion and not be walking about with the servants." Sigyn uttered, trying her best to focus on her work. But Loki was making that increasingly impossible.

"You make it sound as though he was forced to drink and fool around with all of those women. I'm sure you know that he is quite the womanizer, bringing a new woman to his room after each party." He claimed.

"Yes Prince Loki, I'm more than well informed over the ordeal." She claimed, beginning to clean off the desks. "I'm sure you know of the gossip the servants enjoy so much."
