•Y/N: Your Name
•E/C: Eye ColorYour POV:
A soft groan escapes me as I have a seat on a stool in the kitchen. It's gotten late, and all the cooks have already gone to their rooms to rest for the night, so I'm all alone in here. I can barely move, so I've decided to wait until I feel a little better before heading home. Going through the portal would only make me feel even more unstable, since it makes you a little dizzy. A feeling of exhaustion washes over me as I lay my head down onto my folded arms and lean against the counter.
'I'm glad they liked the show and all, but these powers of mine have been sucking the life out of me.' Using one of my hands, I gently massage the bridge of my nose to ease the small headache that's setting in. My E/C orbs flick over to the doors when Ash enters the spacious kitchen and watch him as he begins to heat water for tea. He speaks without bothering to turn around and face me.
"I figured you would have gone home by now. I can call for a carriage if you would like," he offers while grabbing a teabag. Though he can't see with his back turned towards me, I shake my head.
"I'll leave soon. I just wanted to rest for awhile. I'm not feeling very well." I rub my tired eyes before getting comfortable in my arms again.
"Oh?" Ash peers over his shoulder with a look of worry on his flawless features. I'm almost tempted to raise a brow at him.
'Why the hell does he keep showing genuine emotions towards me? It's making me uncomfortable. Aren't I supposed to be 'impure' in his eyes?' I'm not sure why, but I found this really confusing. It's like he took an interest in me or something. I shiver in disgust at the thought. Let's just hope that isn't the case.
Ash faces forward again when the kettle whistles, so he takes it off the flame. He then opens one of the cabinets and pulls out a white teacup with light green designs that resemble vines. He places it on the counter before pouring in a splash of milk. He then pours in the hot tea.
"Her majesty has informed me of how much she enjoyed your performance this evening. I'm sure she wouldn't be opposed the the idea of me preparing a room for you to stay the tonight. Perhaps you'll feel better after a full night's rest?" He offers as he turns around to face me while spinning a spoon in the fresh tea. I hum in consideration.
'Sleeping would be nice right about now. Maybe I should accept?' Feeling like it would be wiser to spend the night, rather than make myself feel sicker by going home, I nod my head in agreement. A small smile touches the angel's lips as he steps forward with the cup of tea in hand. He places the China in front of me before turning around to retrieve a plate and a slice of the cake that was made for dinner. He then gives them to me.
"I'll go prepare a room for you, then. You should eat before bed. I don't believe you've eaten dinner."
"Thank you," I say, a little stunned. It was true; I haven't eaten. My stomach has been in knots, so I haven't exactly been in the mood to eat. The cake does look delicious, though. I pick up the fork Ash had provided me with before stabbing it into the sweet and eating it. As expected, it's delightfully tasty. The angel's smile wides a touch.
