Your POV:
_________________________________A tired groan escapes me as I turn onto my side and grip my warm blankets tighter to my body, hoping to get a few more moments of sleep. When I realize that's not going to happen, I sigh in frustration before opening my eyes. The first thing my gaze lands on is the alarm clock sitting on my nightstand. The red numbers tell me it's almost time for my morning performance.
"Shit," I mutter before rolling off my bed. The comforter wrapped around my body made the fall less painful, but I found myself tangled. I worm my way out of the covers before standing up and rubbing my eyes. I then grab the fallen blanket and shove it back onto my bed in a crinkled mess. I'll fix it later.
The first thing I do is rummage through my drawers for today's outfit. As I do so, I make a mental note to purchase more clothes that fit the Victorian Era later, so that I could stop sticking out like a sore thumb. I may be eccentric, but sooner or later, I'm gonna end up being called a whore just for having my ankles out. I stifle a laugh at the thought as I dress myself in a mustard yellow sweater and black pants with dark grey socks. I grab my hat off the top of the drawer, where I left it, and place it on my head. I then hum in thought.
'Something's missing.' I smile when I realize what else I should put on. I go to my closet and sift through all the coats I keep inside until I get to the last one on the left. It's a black, trench coat that has angel wing designs on the back of it.
It's long and heavy, but it should be perfect for the weather in London right now and should be adequate to keep me warm. Not to mention it'll add a bit of flare to my performance. I feel glad that I didn't get rid of it, even though I've only worn it once for a Halloween costume a few years ago. It still fits me too. After I'm dressed, I go over to an antique jewelry box my mother got me from her trip to Germany last year, which I keep on top of my dresser.
I open the lid and am greeted by a selection of colorful bow ties. They aren't for me, though. I take out a red and green, plaid one before closing the box and sitting on the bed. I reach over and grab Teddy before setting him on my lap, facing me. I skillfully tie it into a bow and smile down at my favorite toy. He just looks so cute!
I get up with the bear in my arms and grab my phone off the nightstand after unplugging it from its charger. I then go to the kitchen to make and eat a breakfast of scrambled eggs and blackberry toast with a glass of water to wash it down. It was a quick meal, so I shouldn't be very late to perform. After I eat, I make a trip to the bathroom to brush my hair and teeth as well as take care of my other needs. I head for the living room afterwards and snatch the remote off the coffee table before inputting the code.
