•Y/N: Your Name
•E/C: Eye ColorYour POV:
2 Days LaterMy legs swing back and forth as I clutch Teddy close to my chest and hope for good luck. The performance is tonight, and I'm currently sitting on a stool in the kitchen, while the cooks are rushing to finish dinner for the Queen and her guests. It's been a few hours since I've last seen Ash, but he told me he'd come to tell me when to start. Speak of the dev- I mean, angel, the white-haired butler enters the kitchen, so I stand up, holding Teddy a little tighter, since I'm a little anxious to perform. When his amethyst eyes meet my E/C ones, he smiles softly at my enthusiasm before shaking his head.
"I'm afraid it's not time yet, Y/N." Ash chuckles as I sit back down with a sigh. I lean against the counter with my elbow and hold my head in my hand. My mind, of course, has to worsen the situation by thinking up dreadful scenarios.
'What's going to happen if I mess up? Will the Queen fire me? How important are these guests of hers?'
I hum softly and shut my eyes before doing a few breathing techniques to keep my mind clear. I reopen them, however, upon hearing the clanking of a cup being set in front of me. Ash's gloved fingertips leave the handle of a delicate teacup with exquisite markings before sending me a smile that sends a shiver down my spine. It wasn't creepy, just out of place. It was a genuine, comforting smile. I mentally roll my eyes at him.
'Great. The feather-brained idiot probably thinks I like him after that stupid performance! I told myself it was a bad idea, but no! I just had to do it anyway! Stupid brain!' As I scold myself, I lift the cup and have a sip of the hot liquid inside. The flavor of lemon and ginger can be tasted in my tongue. The beverage is well made and very soothing.
"You have nothing to worry about. We have been practicing long and hard for tonight. I'm sure the performance will be spectacular," he comforts.
"Thanks." I mutter with a light smile. As I go for another sip of tea, Ash leaves the kitchen to go back to the Queen.
Deciding to just relax until the time comes, I leisurely sip on my tea and pet the faux fur on top of Teddy's head as I wait for Ash's return.
Ash's POV:
'I just knew something was off about that girl. Her performance two days ago confirms that she's definitely no ordinary human. I just wish I could figure out what she is.' I sigh softly, feeling stuck on that bit. Day by day I'm getting closer in my investigation, but just when I think I have an answer, I find that my theories are all wrong.
A small smile comes to my face, however. These last couple days have been amusing to me. Y/N certainly is a fun one to tease. I laugh silently to myself as a light dust of pink coats my cheeks at the memory of me telling her how I can assume she has feelings for me simply by that performance with the angel wings. I have a feeling she knows what I am, but I'm hoping it's only a coincidence that she sung a song about angels.
