MAJOR SPOILER WARNING!
Below you will find all of my 'rough drafts' for this story and ideas I wanted to implement from the start of chapter 1. Some ideas have been cut because it would not make sense if added, or it didn't fit with the plot. You will also find below the drafts some other things. I added a status for all the characters that have survived, died, ECT. At the end of the story in case there were parts you missed or didn't understand. Obviously, there will be major spoilers to the entire story below. I strongly suggest reading the entire story before reading this section.
You have been warned.
Javi loses family, possible kill inside car (reader choice). Javier finds Mathis, goes to look for missing survivors. Arrives back with proof of Dave's whereabouts. Connor will attack on sight or disagree with Javi joining Mathis, Determined by reader's choices. Mathis goes to look for Dave, but are ambushed by Dave's Group. Dave kills his brother, Clyde. Reader can choose to intervene or stay silent. Intervene will cause Javi and Connor to get shot and pass out, dreaming of dead son, before waking up in the arms of a doctor running away, though they will get shot and Dave will spare Javi to join his group. If Javi does not intervene, he will see Clyde get killed, brutally, by Dave. He will see everything that happens before being taken in by Dave's group. Mathis destroyed by Dave's group. Connor will die based on Reader's choice. (Very early idea: Connor gets shot during the Grizzly ambush but makes it back to Mathis. Connor and George are killed by Dave No matter what reader chose) Connor reveals to Javi his darkest secrets, such as the forced murder of gullible family, and thanks Javier for helping and protecting him. (If alive)
Newcomers will join Dave's group, such as Jonas. They fight through a building, overcome by walkers. Walkers come in, reader chooses to blow up the building, or they can risk the wait to save a group member. Another faction fights with Dave's group, more deaths. They find a cabin, eventually herd finds them. Group falls apart. Possible deaths. Connor missing/dead, determined by reader. Reader can choose to accept members request to kill Dave. This leads to a fight with Dave, ending with Javi crippled. Dave will no longer trust Javi and will not give him the chance to choose leadership over friends. Possible ending, Dave killed. Go with Jonas, Docks or Go with strangers, Clarence. Docks=Gabe Clarence=Mari each outcome is hinted at family return. In final chapter, each group hints at the other's demise, leading Javi to believe everyone at the other place is dead. Depending on where the reader chose to go, they will encounter a different situation. Clarence= Plane shot at by raiders, If Connor is still alive, will be killed by bullets.
Docks= Walkers attack on boat, raiders come near during this and attack. If Connor is still alive, he will sacrifice himself to save Javi.
After the attackers are disposed of, Clarance choice will end in going to the airport with Mari where Tripp, Conrad, ECT. Are at in season 3 (Prescott). Docks choice will end in going to the Boats with Gabe where Randall, Norma and Michonne are at in TWD DLC (Monroe).
An extra, Non cannon ending for players who went out of their way to murder and allow Dave to kill everyone. Javier has grown into a physcopath. He and Dave share the same stories and situations, which Dave notices. If reader accepts Dave's request, Javi will become the new leader along with Dave and eradicate the weak. Javier will no longer care about family and believes them to have died, and no longer blames himself for their deaths because of their "weakness". Dave eventually has Javi follow his diabolical ideals and leads him on a path of a tyrant.
At least 1 person from the entire plot that either is missing or with Javi. They can't be killed by reader's choice, and their return in the next story hinted at. (UTB ending, death in closet or bathroom = Walkers)
Quite a few characters were added in later on in the story. I felt like the story became too 'muddy' with just a group of 3, Which was Jonas, Dave and Javi (4 if you spared Connor) This is where I chose to add in Ripper/Bill and Terrence. After Chapter 5, I got this sense of boring-ness from previous ideas. Instead of having the group fight through a building, blow it up, lose people, then travel and find a cabin and lose more people, I chose to add it all up in to one segment and have it be inside a cabin where explosives were set off to destroy the cabin, not gas,(which I have planned previously). With these new characters in the story, I added little bits and pieces of them here and there while I was working on how the story would play out after Killing/Saving Lenord. I chose a factory against my better judgement and went forward with it. From there on, I was making new ideas up that I didn't originally plan for. I was actually quite impressed on how all these events went. In my opinion, it was a much better story with my new ideas than using my old ideas. Then, of course, I had to figure out how Ripper and Terrence were going to die/get lost, since I did not plan to have them in the long run and I already had one determinant character in the story, running even more would make the story needlessly complicated. I chose to have Ripper get shot in an ambush at the factory, leading to a choice that I didn't originally plan to have either (Mercy kill him or tell Dave to.) Which turned out nicely, based on past choices, different scenarios would play out here at Ripper's death. If you spared Lenord AND Connor, Lenord would later show up in the ambush. After Dave kills Zach, he notices Lenord's body trying to crawl away. This causes Dave to kill Lenord, which, since Connor is alive, will spark an argument between the two on how Dave is handling things, which wastes more time than in other scenarios, which leads Ripper to be dead at the scene, unable to have a conversation with Dave in his final moments. If the reader chooses to tell Dave to finish him off, Dave is unable to. This also has different scenarios based on some things. One main thing here is Connor. If Connor is alive and Readers chose Dave to shoot ripper, since he is unable to do so, Connor does it instead. If Connor isn't alive, Dave says he can't do it and asks Javier to, to which he declines. If the latter is the case, Ripper will eventually turn into a walker and start crawling toward the group as they walk away. I really liked how this all played out with different choices leading to different scenarios and wether or not everyone gets closure by having the Walker killed, I decided to try it again with Terrence's death. Eventually, Javier finds out about the bite, but Terrence tells him to keep quiet about it, later on in the story, Terrence is seen by the group to be very sick. I wanted readers to feel a sense of "oh dang, this happened because I didn't/did come clean". Choosing to come clean with Dave will have him freak out and cut off Terrence's arm, which has Terrence yell at Javi right before he bleeds out and dies right away. Terrence will die immediately if you choose to come clean. But if you keep it hidden and cover it up, Dave gets bitten by an undead Terrence later on, although Terrence does live on in the story longer and his character builds a little more instead of the other choice. Why did I choose Dave to get bit? Simple. Jonas is someone who I wanted to stay alive no matter what (how else would the reader logically want to go to Woodton and rebel against Dave's idea? You could say Connor wants to, but he's determinant and not everyone would have him in the story) Connor already has different deaths set aside for him, and I was actually considering to cut him out of the final parts of the story and instead of his sacrifice, I actually was thinking that having him getting bit would be a better idea. But the problem I had here is that not everyone would have him in the story. I wanted someone to get bit, I didn't want to have it be that if Connor is dead then no one gets bit. On top of that, then Connor would be determinant twice in this series. It would be neat, but also complicated and it's something I don't want to try until the next story. Obviously I didnt want Javier to die because I plan on him being a major character in the next story, so not him. Dave was my most logical choice because I wanted to have him exit this story anyways. It was also cool to have him be killed or missing depending on this. So basically, rat out Terrence, Dave gets taken by Mathis or whatever, or lie to Dave, have him get bit and die off that way instead. I liked how the story picked up but also turned in a different direction, not one in familiar territory. Then of course, this gets wrapped up with the choice of Woodton or Clarance. Also, Woodton was not something I was sure of doing. I also wasn't sure what to call it until the near ending of the story, kind of obvious by the way everyone calls it "the docks" and also how I didn't call it anything different until this paragraph. Look around in different sections in this page and you'll most likely see it being called Docks instead of Woodton. Literally didn't know what to call it until Chapter 6-7ish lol :D
