Love Is Forever

I am sitting on the edge of the cliff under the bright, blue moon. I flick my cigarette off the edge and take another swig of my beer. The sound of laughter rings in the air and I can smell her perfume. The night sky only stings my heart. It is a reminder of the wonders and the galaxy that was hidden in her gaze. Her smile was bright and cheerful. It was brighter than the blinding light of the sun during the day because her smile lasts through the dark, cold, and lonely nights. She was so precious with her soft skin and forgiving ways. She was rare, and all I can see are flashbacks of her limp body in my arms. Every time I think of that tragic day, a river of tears begins to cascade down my face. A single tear drop falls to the canyon below me and I begin to hear her voice calling my name from down below. I stand and begin to sway back and forth. I look up at the sky for what turned out to be the last time as I lose my footing, tumbling down into the empty abyss. Although this isn't how I wanted to end it, now I can be with her forever.
