Falling For Him (completed)

Chapter 10

  We make our way back to Southern California where we live. We pass beautiful beaches, palm trees and breathtaking sights of the surrounding.

"I missed it here," Sarah says with a sigh of relief.

"Talk to Adam yet?" I question biting my lip. 

"Not yet. I'm probably going to see him tomorrow," Sarah replies.

"That's good."

"Yeah, heard from Ryan?"

"He told me to meet him at the Sunshine Café tonight at six. It'll be nice to see him again," I proclaim.

"I know that you'll be glad to see him," Sarah softly says with a shy smile. I look out the window and smile. It's good to be home.

I unpack all of my things and put them away. I then decide to prepare myself for the café tonight. I pick out a white eyelet lace cami, dark wash high waisted shorts and black vans. I put my hair in a cute bun with a bandana and apply winged liner and mascara. I should be ready. I call Ryan and clarify our meet up.

"Six o'clock sharp. Miss you Ad. I have a present for you too," Ryan acknowledges.

"See you then," I say through a smile. I can't wait.

I walk to the Sunshine Café since it's only about half a kilometer away. Thoughts scramble through my mind. Will we actually get back together? How do I know he isn't going to friendzone me? I pursue to the café and order a lemon water while I wait. At this time, I decide I should check my phone and check the time. I'm about three minutes early. About five minutes pass and I hear the jingle of the bell go off. I peek through the three people that stand in line and Ryan runs up to me. I stand up and run into his arms. I don't even hold myself back before it's too late. I lean in and kiss him softly on the lips. I'm surprised that he doesn't hold back. This leads into a more passionate kiss and I pull away first.

"I'm sorry.. about that," I say stiffly.

"I missed you Ad. At this point, I don't care," Ryan conveys.

"I think we should talk about things," I say quietly so I don't disturb the whole entire café.

"I'm sorry I chose Kayla over you. I was trying to get your attention because I thought you didn't care about me. I guess it worked," Ryan says winking, "but there's one thing that I should've never ever done Adelynn, and that was to leave you. I left you stranded...confused..misplaced and sad," Ryan atones.

"Ryan. It's okay. I've made mistakes, you've made mistakes, let's face it..we all made mistakes. But, I would never leave my best friend. Do you know how bad I wanted to just run up and kiss you some days? Do you know how bad I loved you? Do you remember that day that we went scuba diving? I fell for you. I knew I liked you. Your smile made me feel sick. You grabbed my hand and I almost passed out because I was so nervous. I loved you Ryan," I confess. To prove myself I stand up and pull him up with me and I kiss him wrapping my hands around his waist. I run my fingers through his shaggy brown hair. I don't feel regret. I feel protected. I love Ryan Thompson and I don't feel ashamed. We eventually pull away and sit down again.

"Adelynn. Tomorrow I want to take you somewhere, and you have to accept," Ryan smiles.

"You don't have to do-"

"Oh yes I do have to. I need to prove to you that I'm not an asshole. I need you to trust me and I need you period. Adelynn Fraser, I love you and I'm going to prove it to you," Ryan acknowledges. I nod and then he nods back. We get up in unison and he grabs my hand softly. "I really love you," he whispers softly in my ear, then kisses the top of my forehead gently. I smile and take my free hand and wrap it around his waist. I love him.

A/N: So, that escalated quickly. I want to start doing POVS. Should I? I'm loving this relationship between Adelynn and Ryan. What is Ryan going to show Adelynn tomorrow?
