Later that day, I told Beth what had happened. She ran to take care of Morty and I told her I was going to take care of it.
I found myself standing in front of Morty's dorm room, wondering if I should knock. Nah.
I made my way into the room, finding Daemon snooping through Morty's stuff. He stepped back and stared at me while I moved around and gathered Morty's belongings. We had both agreed that he was not coming back.
"Yo, what the fuck are you doing?!" Daemon moved towards me, trying to take the items. I opened a portal and started throwing them through, "I'm getting Morty's eugh stuff, genius."
This kid looked pissed. "So Morty's dropping out then? Is that it?"
"No, he's leaving. Not just dropping out, eugh shit-for-brains." I threw a few more items through before closing the portal, finally having gathered all of his shit.
"Morty isn't leaving me. He's not going to. He loves me and I love him, so you're wrong." He moved closer to me, sneering. I just sighed, "Yea, no he doesn't." I looked at the dumb look on this kid's face and felt my blood boil, "And eugh you don't lo-love him, eugh either." I jabbed my finger into his chest, knocking him back slightly.
"What the hell do you know, gramps? And don't fucking touch me." He moved closer, swinging at me. I moved and took a hit to the arm, not really bothered by it. I moved closer, remembering the shitty look he gave Morty before he broke him.
"I know eugh a-a lot more than you think." I hit him in the face, my fist connecting with his jaw, "You eugh had your friends pi-pin him down." I looked at his surprised expression, hating the dumb look. I kicked him in the nuts, "You eugh you raped him, Daemon." His name felt like bile rising in my throat, bubbling out. "You broke him. I eugh I know that." I lifted him, hitting him in the face once again and hearing him whimper.
"I eugh know you're a piece of shit, that eugh that he doesn't love you. I know he loves me. And I know he calls me 'daddy'." I sneered, throwing him down and walking out. Once I was out in the hallway, I hopped through a portal and found myself in my room, Morty still sleeping on my cot. It took a while, but I had managed to calm him down and get him to sleep. He knew I was going to get his stuff.
I made sure he was alright before I walked out, quietly closing the door behind me and making my way to his room. All of his stuff had landed on his bed, a precaution to avoid breaking anything. I moved around, setting it up in the way that I remembered. He had bought new posters and those replaced the old ones he'd left hanging. His desk was set up and his bed was made again. Everything was back to how it was.
"Rick and Morty, together eugh forever, a hundred years."

After everything had been cleared up, we all sat at the dinner table. It wasn't back to normal, but it wasn't as awkward. Morty sat next to me again, and neither of us tried to avoid the other. I placed my hand on his leg while we ate, trying to calm him down. He was still extremely anxious and afraid. He smiled up softly before he continued to eat.
"So, dad, did you have any problems getting Morty's things?" Beth glanced up at me, smiling. "N-Nope, no eugh no problems. Everything went smoothly, sweetie." She smiled, "That's great."
"So... there's something going on between you two, but I don't know what it is." Jerry pointed him fork in our direction, squinting suspiciously.
I rolled my eyes and sighed, "Jerry, I-I eugh I did your son." Beth started to laugh while Morty choked on his food. Jerry's jaw dropped and he looked between the three of us.
"Sorry, dad, it's true. I love him." Morty wrapped his arms around mine, snuggling his face into my side for a moment. Jerry just looked completely lost, and a little unnerved. "You two are... are dating? Beth! What the hell?! Did you know about this?" He stared daggers at Beth, watching her nod, not really caring.
"Technically, Rick isn't related to me by blood. Apparently, he was gone for 20 years because he died in this dimension. Everything was destroyed in his, so he came and took the place of this Rick, because it fit. He's not related to me by blood, on a technicality, which means neither of us has a say in it, so keep your mouth shut, Jerry." She pointed the end of her fork at her husband, watching him struggle to take in all of this information.
Morty and I had finished our meal, so we took care of our plates and made our way to the couch. He took the remote and flicked through the channels, settling on AFV. We laughed for a while and he laid his head on my lap, laying on the couch. His hair fell back and I could still see the marks on his neck. They were extremely unnerving, to say the least.
He looked up and caught me staring, flushing before he moved his hand to his neck and covered it. He sat up and looked at his hands in his lap now.
"Come on." I stood and held out my hand, watching him take it slowly, "Where are we going?"
I smiled, "We're gonna go to the eugh garage and-and fix that." Morty nodded and followed me. We wandered into the garage and he sat in the chair, staring as I dug around in all of my boxes. Eventually, I found the box of random serums and elixirs, to put it in simple terms. I narrowly avoided getting stabbed multiple times as I dug around, finally finding the one I was looking for.
"This one gets rid of any eugh bruises and marks. It's handy when eugh when I don't want you-your mom worrying about me." I moved closer, setting the box back up on a shelf, "You're gonna have to eugh to pull your pants down. eugh It's gonna go-go in your thigh."
Morty bit his lip momentarily before he stood and lowered his jeans slightly, far enough for me to place the needle. He jumped slightly before I removed it, watching the marks disappear. I stayed close, making sure they would all go away.
Morty wrapped his arms around my neck and pulled me closer, pressing his lips to my own and surprising me. I jumped slightly, setting the syringe down on the desk and leaning into Morty, kissing back. He smiled into the kiss, his hands running through my hair.
I placed one hand on the back of his head while I dug in my pocket with the other, grabbing the ring. I felt around, finding his left ring finger and slipping it on him. He pulled back, looking down confused for a moment before his eyes lit up.
He pulled me into another kiss, this one shorter than the last. "You never were the romantic type." He held his hand out, splaying his fingers, laughing. "Didn't think I'd be here."
I smiled, "Yea, well th-that one is double special." I stood straight, pointing to his ring, "If eugh if you rotate it 180 degrees, it-it'll tell me where you are." He kept staring at his hand for a minute before he fixed himself, pulling his jeans back up and rubbing his thigh. He looked down at my hand, "Are you gonna make one for yourself?" He stared up at me curiously and I shrugged.
"Sure, I-I could."
