Leena's P.O.V.
I entered the homeroom to find Jace occupying my seat, and arguing with Douaa, who was seated next to him. I smiled to myself. These two just won't stop arguing. I shook my head slowly, making my way to the empty seat beside the window. After I put my bag on the floor, I got seated just as Mrs. Linean entered the class. I looked at the people-empty parking lot through the window, and soon enough, I found myself drifting in my own thoughts.
- "Where were you?!", Douaa scolded as we made our way through the school gate.
- "Few seconds ago, I was in school. Few minutes ago, I was in class. Why are you asking?", I tried my best to act a bit confused.
- "Seriously?! I thought you were in Mars. You know what I mean. Why didn't you come sit next to me?!", Douaa snapped, annoyed by my sarcastic reply.
- "Jace was doing that job just fine", my one sided smile implied my amusement.
- "He wasn't! He's an idiot. I scolded him for sitting in your place, and asked him to get up, but he said I had no right to say that, and he won't get up, unless You ask him to. I didn't really see you enter, but I saw you sitting at the back, and I couldn't call your name, because I'll have to shout for you to hear me, and if I did so....", she blabbered, trailing at the end.
- "Mrs. Linean would scold you, and punish both of us", I completed for her. She smiled at the correct reply I gave her.
- "So, what were thinking that deeply about?", Douaa asked as we approached the bus stop.
- "I saw something, a symbol to be specific", my reply made her turn her head towards me, confusion written all over her face.
- "Then?", she asked.
- "It disappeared as always", I answered.
- "When was that?"
- "In the cafeteria, after you guys left. It was drawn on the ceiling. I was with Mark back then, but I was the only one able to see it", I told her, and she just nodded her head in response as we stopped, waiting for the bus.
After a long wait, the bus stopped infront of us, and we were about to get in when we heard a voice shouting for us to wait. Douaa sighed, annoyed, from beside me. She certainly recognised the voice. I turned around to see Jace jogging towards us. I waved my hand softly, showing him that we're waiting, but Douaa clearly had another idea, as she went on entering the bus again.
- "Wait. Jace got something to do with us", I stopped her, before she took any other step.
- "I know. That's why I'm going. Come on", she replied.
- "That's kinda mean, you know", I told her, hoping she'll change her mind, which worked for as she got down, and rested her hand on her waist, as she glared at the approaching Jace.
- "What do you want?!", Douaa scolded once Jace reached us. He just glared at her, before clearing his throat.
-"I've got something really important to tell you".
- "Wow", Douaa replied boringly.
I was about to turn around, to give them space, when Jace stopped me by saying, "Both of you". Did he see a new vision or something?
