Douaa's P.O.V.

Almost half an hour passed, and I still didn't move from in front of the mirror. Now that I looked at myself for that long, I became unsure about the dress I picked. It was black, and very short at the front when compared to the back. From the top to my waist, there are spider nets with a lot of empty spaces, that revealed the neon yellow colour beneath. The rest of the dress was coal black, and since it was shorter at the front, the yellow colour of the inner fabric appeared at the bottom.

I started putting my accessories on, which were very simple. A short necklace with three crystals, the middle one being bigger than the others, and all are coal black. Along with the necklace was a pair of matching earings. I curled my hair, and it ended up fizzy, and not wavy as I wanted, but I still liked it. I then moved on to add the last touch, my yellow heels.

On my way there, I couldn't stop thinking about the number of people that'll attend. They'll probably be a lot of people from our school, because Elaf literally asked everyone to come. I remember Sara studying at the same highschool as ours. She wasn't exactly my friend, but she talked to us a few times.

Once I entered the hall, I scanned the tables for any familiar face, but my phone vibrating inside my purse stopped me from going into the crowds.

- "Where are you?", Leena's voice doomed in my ear.

- "I just arrived. I'm near the entrance. Where are you?", I asked back.

- "I've been here for a while. Stay where you are, I'm coming. By the way, you wouldn't believe who's here!", and she hung up, her childish voice sounding excited. I swear sometimes this girl can be the weirdest creature alive.

After a while, Leena came into my view. She looked so beautiful. She was wearing a navy blue dress, which was glittered at random places until her waist, where a a small purple belt with a small bow at the side lies. At the top, she had, purple, loose straps, while bottom of her dress looked as if someone set a purple flame on her, the flame being darker at the bottom, getting lighter till it reached the middle. Ofcourse, she wore the set that was given to her at the mall. It matched her dress, and made her overall look even cuter. She made her hair into a bun like shape, and left a few loose strands at the front.

"You look amazing", I said in a squeaky voice.

- "You too! Yellow is definitely your colour", she said with a poor attempt to wiggle her eyebrows. I smiled at her, but my smile soon faded when I noticed who was standing behind her.

- "Jace", I spat.

- "It's nice to see you, too", he said, stepping closer.

- "What're you doing here?", I narrowed my eyes at him.

- "Elaf invited me", he replied with a shrug. I was about to reply when I noticed his tie colour; neon yellow with black straps. "Did you like it?", he asked with a smirk, when he noticed me glaring at it.

I ignored him, and turned to Leena, "Seriously?!!". She was the only one who knew what dress I'll wear.

-"He asked for help, and you know very well what a helpful friend I am", she replied with a smile. I just rolled my eyes.
