beatrice was surprised at her test results,
what was she to do?
she loved abnegation , but she just
wanted to try something new.
she thought long and hard about
the difficult choice
until she was tired of
hearing her own voice.
so , she reluctantly went to bed
not prepared for the day ahead.

if she had chosen the right place,
for she soon had a
train to chase.

she noticed a few cuts. they hurt but
they weren't the worst,
when eric asked
"who wants to jump first?"
with a bravery she didn't know
she had,
beatrice stepped up ,
seeming glad.
she closed her eyes
then took the jump,
landing with a
loud thump.
with dozens of hands
reaching out,
she grabbed the first
one she had felt.
she informed the man with kind
eyes her name was tris.
never had she experienced a
moment like this.
