"Damn, that was hot!" Jimmy stood up and kissed her. "That was the first time you came without touching yourself, wasn't it? Told you it would happen after you got used to sex."

"Yeah," Beth said. "It happened just like you said it would. Listen, why don't you go back first? I'll follow you a little later so no one gets suspicious."

"I don't know. I don't like leaving you here alone. It might not be safe."

"I'm on our property," she said. "Anyway, I'll just be a few minutes. Just want to, you know, catch my breath a little."

He laughed. "Wore you out, huh? Okay, but don't take too long. You can't be too careful these days."

"I'll keep my eyes open," she promised. "Besides, I did run track, so I can run for help if I need to."

She waited until Jimmy was out of sight before she walked over to the tree where Daryl had been standing, but he wasn't there. As she turned around in disappointment, he came out from behind another tree further back. She stood watching him stalk toward her as her breathing accelerated. He walked her back into the tree.

"Don't nobody know what a bad girl you are. Not even your boyfriend." His voice was low in her ear.

She gasped when he yanked her tank top down to expose one breast. He bent his head down to take her nipple into his mouth, and she moaned in pleasure. His body pressed against hers as he came up to claim her mouth in a hungry kiss.

Then he pulled completely away from her and took several quick steps in the other direction. "Fuck!"

"What's wrong?" Beth asked.

Daryl turned toward her angrily. "How many guys you need? What you want with me?"

She stepped boldly up to him and grasped the bulge in his pants. "I want to take care of this for you."

For a moment, his eyes took on that predatory look that turned her on so much. Then it was gone. "I don't feel like getting shot again."

"But I won't tell anyone."

He pushed her hand away. "Pull your shirt up." Daryl stepped further away from her. "How old are you anyway?"

"Sixteen," she admitted. "But who cares? Age doesn't matter to me, not anymore."

"Fuck," he swore again as he ran a hand through his hair in agitation. "You are trying to get me shot again. What the hell you doing playing these games with me?"

"You didn't have to follow me, but you did because you want me. Just like I want you. To answer your question, I only need one guy. I only want you."

"You're saying that after you just had sex with your boyfriend." Daryl stepped forward and pushed her breast back into her shirt, since she had failed to do it herself. "You listen to me, little girl. This is a dangerous game you're playing. Don't fuck with me again or you might get more than you bargained for."

He spun around and stalked off, leaving her pondering the possibilities in that tantalizing statement. Beth had no intention of leaving him alone, not when there was this much heat between them. Fate, however, had other plans for them. The very next day, both their worlds were shattered when Shane opened the barn doors in a rage. She found out that her mother wasn't just sick. She wasn't even her mother anymore, because she attacked Beth after she had been shot down right in front of her eyes. Now she knew exactly what kind of world they were living in, and she wanted no part of it. Daryl was also devastated to learn that Sophia had been in the barn the entire time he had been looking for her.

The horrors just kept coming with walkers attacking the farm and killing Patricia and Jimmy. Beth's guilt, along with the lack of privacy on the road, kept her from looking at Daryl as anything more than a fellow survivor until they found the relatively safe haven of the prison.
