We got out and laid on our backs. I heard a whistle and looked up. 'Pig!' I thought. It was Cade staring at us. I didn't really care how he was. "Looking good." He said. "You are such a jerk!" I said. "Pig." Leah said, what I was thinking earlier. "Aww... come on. Don't be like that. You two are beautiful." He said. "Well keep your comments to yourself." I said. He kept staring at us like he was picturing us naked or something.
I got up and pushed him as hard as I could. He fell into the pool. He splashed under and came back up. He quickly got out and came over. "You bitch!" He yelled, "My phone is in my pocket." He pulled it out and tried to wipe the water off. "Just put it in rice." I said. He glared. "Or ask your daddy to buy a new one." Leah Said, "I'm sure he will." He just continued to glare. Then he walked back to the house. We laughed.
We swam again and then dried off. We were hanging our suits up when my dad came out. "We were coming in and met Cade in the kitchen." My dad said, "He was all wet. Any idea why?" He hung up Cade's wet clothes. "He was a pig." Leah said, "He whistled at us and was staring creepily at us. Like he was... picturing us naked. It was gross." "It's true." I said, "He kept staring at us. He was creeping me out. So I pushed him into the pool." "Ok." My dad said, "Come help with the groceries and feed." We went and helped carry groceries in. "Where are the... boys?" I asked, catching myself from saying anything else. "I told them to get down here and help." My dad said. He went upstairs and I heard the bedroom doors slam open. The two boys came downstairs and went outside. I watched them as they carried the feed to the barns. We had oats and apples for the horses. Plus food for the cows and barn cats.
I then went out and asked, "Do you need any help?" "No, thanks. We've got this." Max said, rudely. "Asshole! No need to talk to me like that!" I yelled. "Ashlynn!" My dad yelled. "Dad! I only asked of they needed any help and Max... he answered back rudely." I said. "It's true." Said Leah. Max glared at us. "Max, I'm warning you. You know the rules." My dad said, "I'd hate to see you leave before you even started here." Max continued to glare at us, but then turned to my dad. "Yes, sir." He said. "Good. I don't care if you never become friends, but at least treat each other with respect and answer each other decently." My dad said, "Now, have you gotten a tour of the farm?" "No." Max said, "I walked around by myself until a guy named Pablo met me and showed me some areas." My dad looked at me. "You didn't say when. I was swimming with Leah." I said. "Yeah. I didn't want to bother them." Said Max. "Ok." My dad said.
We finished with the groceries and feed. Leah and I went to the den to watch a movie. Before it started, Leah paused it. "Should we invite Max and Cade?" She asked. "I rather not." I said, "But it might make my dad happy." So I got up and headed upstairs. I knocked on the first door. I didn't know who's room was who's.
The door opened and it was Cade's. "Why hello there, beautiful." He said. I rolled my eyes. "Ugh! Can you be more of a pig?" I asked. "I don't know. Why don't you come in and find out?" He replied. "No thanks." I said and turned to walk away. He grabbed my arm and pulled me close to him. I tried to get away, but he pulled me closer. "Let go!" I yelled and tried shoving him away. He was too strong. "Let go, now!" I yelled. He just laughed. "Ashlynn! What is taking so long?" Leah yelled up the stairs, "Don't make me come up." Cade let go quickly and I left. I quickly went downstairs. I went out the door to find my dad. "Ashlynn? What's going on?" Leah asked, following me.
I went down to the track. My dad was talking to Pablo and his wife Jane. She helped out on the track. "I want them gone!" I said. My dad looked confused, but then understanding. "I'll be right back." He told Pablo and Jane and steered me away from them. "Honey, what happened now?" He said, exhausted from having me complain about them. "I was trying to be nice. I knocked on Cade's door to ask him if he wanted to watch a movie with us." I started and told my dad what Cade said and did. My dad looked angry and went to the house.
"Seriously? Cade grabbed you?" Leah asked shocked. "Yes." I replied. "Oh wow." She said, "What a jerk!" "I know." I agreed. We went back into the den. I could hear my dad yelling. He then came back down. "Are you ok?" He asked. "Yes, I'm fine." I replied. "Ok. Good." He said and headed back out. I never did get to ask Max. Oh well. Leah and I watched our movie and headed back outside.
"We're going to grill." My dad said, "Hamburgers, hot dogs and ham." "Awesome." I said, "Sounds great. Leah, will you be staying?" "Let me text my parents since I haven't been home since before school." She said. "Ok." My dad said. Leah actually headed away from us alittle ways to call her parents instead of texting. She came back by us and said, "They said it's fine. I can stay." "Yay!" I said.
We just sat on the deck talking. My mom was inside making corn on the cob. "Maybe I should see if my mom needs any help." I said. "Yeah." Said Leah. So we went in. "Do you need any help?" I asked. "No, I'm cutting up the vegetables while the corn is cooking. So everything is good." She replied. "Ok." I said. We went back out.
Soon the food was ready. "Do you want to go get Max and Cade?" My mom asked me. "Ok." I said. "No. I'll get them." My dad said. "Ok. That probably would be better." My mom agreed. My dad told her what happened. She was mad and wanted them gone, but my dad talked her into giving them a second chance. He went in and got them. The three of them came out and we all started to eat.
