Later at night, when it got dark, we built a fire. We toasted marshmallows and made s'mores. Cade and Max didn't. They stayed in the house. Pablo and Jane joined us. Pablo and my dad took turns telling ghost stories. When it was about 11pm, Leah headed home. We put the fire out. My dad stayed out to make sure it didn't reignite.

I got my pajamas on, said my prayers and then fell asleep immediately.

The next morning, I woke up. After I got dressed, I  grabbed a bottle of water and a pack of Poptarts. Then I saddled up Wildfire and rode the trail. I rode up to the cliff and sat there. Below was a water hole. Leah and I swim down there occasionally. Well, we did anyway until we got a pool. Although we still come here occasionally. I ate my Poptarts and drank my water as I watched the sun come up. It was so beautiful. I took a few pictures and then headed down the path and back to the farm.

I unsaddled Wildfire and headed back to the house. Max was cleaning up the field where the horses graze. He was scooping the poop up. I saw Cade was trying to get the last horse out. "Come on!" He yelled, "Move!" The horse just stood there. I laughed. Luckily he didn't hear me. I was far enough away. I then walked closer and Cade didn't see me. I made a motion to the horse and as Cade pulled, the horse moved forward. Cade lost his balance and fell right into the pile of poop. I couldn't help it. I burst out laughing. Even Max laughed. The horse made a noise that sounded like a laugh. Cade got up and glared at me. "Think it's funny, do you?" He asked, angrily. "Yes." I answered, truthfully. "Well I don't." He yelled, coming closer. I backed up. "Stay away!" I yelled, "You stink!" He moved closer. "Or what? You'll go run to daddy?" He taunted, coming even closer. I moved further, but he kept coming closer. "Stop!" I yelled. I went to run, but he caught me. "Let me go!" I yelled, "Now!" "No." He yelled and held me tight against him. I was scared and felt a panic attack starting. I started to breathe heavy. Luckily Max stepped in.

"Cade, let go. Let her go." He said. "No. She needs to learn some manners." Said Cade. "I know, but not this way." Max said, "Besides, she's on the verge of an attack. Can't you hear her breathing? Plus Pablo is coming this way." Cade let me go and I went to go to the house. But Max grabbed my hand. "Please. Don't tell your father." He said, as Cade said, "Careful Max. She'll go tell daddy on you." "Why shouldn't I?" I yelled. "Because it's only the first full day and I really don't want to have to find another community service job. I don't want to work in a stuffy office with my sister." Max said, "They make perfume and lotions. That place gives me a headache." I debated. "Please." He said. "Fine! I won't say anything about you." I said. I pulled my arm away and ran to the house.

Cade took his shorts off and hosed them off the best he could. Then hung them on the line. I was sitting at the table, talking to my parents when Cade came in to get a drink. "Need a drink already? I don't think you did much." My dad said, "Why are you in anyway?" "Had to switch shorts. I fell in shit." He answered. I giggled again. He glared. My dad looked to me. "Don't look at me, I didn't do it. It was the horse. It wouldn't move and then it did and he lost his balance." I said, laughing. "Ok." My dad said. "Where are your shorts?" My mom asked. "Outside. I sprayed them with the hose and hung them up." He answered. "Ok." My mom said, "Come on, Ashlynn." I got up and we went outside.

My mom got Cade's shorts and took them to the basement. "Are you ok?" She asked, "He didn't hurt you?" "No." I replied. I didn't say anything, but Pablo saw everything and called my dad. "I really want them gone." My mom said. "It wasn't Max. Just Cade." I said, "Don't punish Max for Cade." "Ok." she said. I went outside and walked to the pool. I took off my shoes and socks and dangled my feet in. I can't wait to go swimming.

"Thanks alot!" I heard a voice, "One more strike and I'm gone." I looked up. It was Cade. "Hey... that's your own fault. Plus I didn't say anything. Not this time. It was Pablo. He saw you and told my dad." I said, "Honestly." "I highly doubt that." He said. "Excuse me? It's true." I said, "I didn't say anything. I swear." He looked at me and said, "Fine. Your dad said that too." I was mad. "My dad told you it was Pablo and you still harass me? Jerk!" I yelled. I got up and pushed passed him to get back to the house. I think he thought I was going to push him in the pool because he moved away from it. I should of pushed him in.

Later Leah was there. We saddled up horses and went on the trail to the water hole. We tied the reins to the tree. We took off our tees and shorts. We had our swimming suits on underneath. We stood at the top. Leah grabbed the rope and swung. She let go and fell into the water. I grabbed the rope and swung. I let go and fell in. It felt so good and refreshing. We swam for awhile and then got out and came back to the top. We sat for awhile to dry off some.

Then we rode, back home, unsaddled the horses and went inside the house. We grabbed some water. Then decided we better get some lunch. We went swimming before we ate. We got all the lunch meat and cheese out. "Hey, I'll be right back." I said. "Ok." Leah said.

I went back outside. "Did you guys eat yet?" I asked my mom and dad. "No. Not yet." They replied. "Ok. Me and Leah are going to eat. So do you want sandwiches? What kind?" I said. They gave me what they wanted. I then went into the stable. Cade and Max were cleaning out the stalls now. It took them awhile to clean out the corrals. We had one for horses and one for the cows. Plus they probably had to pull out the weeds that were growing in there.

"Hey guys. Did you eat yet?" I asked. "What do you care?" Cade asked, rudely. I was surprised by his attitude. I mean, I knew we didn't like each other, but that's no way to talk to me. "It was just a question. We're making lunch and thought if you didn't, you could join us." I answered. "Well you thought wrong!" He said. "Fine!" I said, "Starve!" "Look I don't want to be here!" He yelled, "It's big and smelly!" "Good. That makes two of us and I can gladly arrange that with my dad." I yelled. I turned to Max. "Lunch?" I asked. "Sure." He said. He followed me to the kitchen. I saw Cade had followed too. Probably to see if I really did plan on telling my dad.

We all made sandwiches. My parents came in too. So all six of us started to eat and I didn't say anything about Cade not wanting to be here.
