I walked down the stairs and into the kitchen, seeing Christine holding and plating two plates of food.
"Good morning" I spoke, watching her turn around.
"Morning baby. I was just finishing your breakfast" she continued.
"You made me breakfast? That's sweet of you" I buttered her up and took a seat at the island table.
"You're welcome. I just hope you have a good start to your day is all, since you are going with that....other woman"
I chuckled. "Why you say it like that?"
"Because you know I still don't like her, and she stresses you out more than I do anyways" ...yeah Dyme stresses me out quite a lot 😉
"Yep, she does" I agreed anyways and laughed to myself.
"How long are you going to be with her again?" she handed me my plate finally.
"Maybe a day or two. We might actually come home tomorrow"
"Mhm. Well uh, tell Destiny I said happy birthday"
"Who's Destiny?" I looked up from my eggs.
"Your daughter?"
"It's...Desiree babe" I sighed.
"Baby I know that, it's just--that's my nick name for her" ...yeah right😒
"Okay then..." I shrugged.

Standing in line to catch our train, I grabbed hold of my baby's arm while her father went to go get our bags. I recounted our tickets just to make sure we had them all, and happened to see Jacob come back with our bags in no time.
I gave him a small look before bringing my attention back to my baby. "You okay mama?" I asked, bending down to her level.
"Baba mommy"
"Oh alright, not too much okay. Just cuz it is my baby's birthday" I tickled and kissed her, just before I gave her the half drunken sippy cup.
I stood back up to my feet, noticing her father staring as usual. I swear this nigga be giving me ice cold grill sometimes.
