*Door Bell Rings*🔔Exiting from out of the kitchen, I walked over and opened up the door for Kehlani. Since we didn't talk in over the past couple of weeks, I invited her over as soon as I felt better.
I was so busy with taking care of James and learning how to get this damn slope intercept formula in my head. I still had to keep my grades up to keep my parents happy and to eventually enroll back into a public school once finished. But with James being a helpless newborn,...it was pretty challenging to keep the two balanced.
"Hey friend" she smiled, rushing in to give me a hug at the door.
"Hey, I missed you" I wrapped my arms around her as well.
"So did I, but where's the little one? That's who I really came to see"
I sucked my teeth in jealousy. "Fuck you then"
"Sike nah, I'm just playing. But I still wanna see him. I love me some baby babies"
"Well he's about as baby baby you can get, he's so tiny and precious. You're going to flip.." I turned away from her to lead her into my house and upstairs.
Closing my front door and joining me in going up the stairs, we quietly walked over to James's baby room. I slowly opened the door to reduce the noise, and welcomed her inside.
"Awe, look at him" Kehlani cheered in a whisper.
"He is tiny..." she added, leaning over his crib.
"Mhm.." I hummed and rubbed his little belly gently.
Suddenly James opened his eyes and looked at me and his God mom. He then started moving around and swinging his limbs, probably trying to turn around I bet.
"Looks like someone's up now, and just *picks him up* in time for God mom to see you" I talked to him, holding his little self in my arms. "I'm a get him dressed and bring him downstairs, you mind warming his bottle for me?"
"Only if you let me feed him"
"Sure, be my absolute guest" I chuckled.

"My baby got them edges slayed, ain't that right" I looked down at my work on my son's head.
