The next day, we join RWBY and JNPR for lunch again. Nora is is in the middle of a story when I sense something lingering behind me. "Heads up!" Leo shouts but nothing hits. I look around and they all seem puzzled. I turn around and see a glob of mashed potatoes just hanging there. I look over and see Cardin hit the table in frustration. I levitate the glob into the trash can and let it go.

"How'd you do that?" Yang asks inquisitively.

"Do what?" I ask back

"It's like you stopped it without even knowing what it was." Ruby clarifies.

"Ever since I cleared my mind, my abilities have started to grow. I guess I've started to develop a sixth sense."

"Can you, like, see the future and stuff?" Yang asks curiously.

"Nothing like that. Just more, aware, I guess. But apparently a sixth sense isn't all I've earned."

"Ooh! what else can you do?" Ruby asks excitedly.

"Nothing about what I can do, it's about what I did. Apparently news spread fast about my fight with CRDL. Now I have a rep for being a little unstable."

"A little? I heard people saying you were completely-" Ren slaps a hand over Nora's mouth before she can finish but she'd said enough. Guess this is what happens when you lose control, you're branded as a psychopath. "You all understand right? I'd just...nevermind." I look down at my tray and continue to eat, trying to forget about the cafeteria full of whispers about the unstable Aries Paladin. I feel a hand gently touch my shoulder and I see Lilac with her persistent, contagious smile. I can't help but smile too. I look back down at my plate and feel a glob smack the back of my head. "Let your guard down for two seconds in this place." The whole table start to chuckle and I turn around to see Cardin and his cronies high fiving.

Later on in the dorm, me and Lilac are studying while Leo and Yema go after snacks. "What is the name of the ancient art that allowed early huntsman and huntresses to embue their armors with special qualities." I ask

"Weaving." Lilac answers proudly.

"Correct." I unwrap a ball of chocolate and toss it. She catches it and pops it in her mouth. That's when I notice something I hadn't before. A small group of marks on her left arm. "Where'd you get those?"

"hmm?"

"Those marks on your arm, they look like scars."

"Oh, uh, n-nothing."

"Lilac, you know you can't lie to a psychic."

"What are you going to do? Hijack my brain?"

"No, just letting you know I won't quit worrying until you tell me. C'mon you know my story, let me get to know you're a little bit." We hear Leo and Yema down the hall. "Not here." She grabs my hand and takes me to the window. "You can fly without your wings, yeah?"

"I've only done it to myself, never tried it with another person."

"Well now's the time." She jumps out the window and I jump after. Catching her bridal style in midair. "You truly are crazy." I say while laughing a bit. I follow her directions and we end up on top of the roof. We sit on the spine and I use telekinesis to hold us still. She shows me the marks and runs her fingers over them. "I sorta lied when I said my dad ditched when I was born. He was around for a year or so. But..."

"But?" I can tell the memories are upsetting so I may a hand on her arm in an attempt to comfort her. "Y'know how Cardin called my dad a disgrace?"

"Yeah."

"He was a violent drunkard. Just from the few scraps I managed to remember about him I learned everything I needed to. On top of all that he was a coward! Yet he acted like he was bigger than everyone!" I see her fists clench as she lays her head in her knees, wrapping her arms around them in a defensive ball.
