Swallow

Another night alone, another night alone....

Lonely
Thoughts......

you don't have much girl, you have nothing.
No love, no dignity, no family, nothing.

What are you doing down here, let me take you above the clouds,

Just for a little while, the bartender will you see you crack that smile, as you say, one, more, shot....

Swallow girl, swallow, all your regrets, pain, and sorrow.

She drinks vodka like it's holy water....

Sip after sip, bleaching her mind of her memories..

Swallow girl, swallow, that handful of antidepressants that make you happy, because her mind is so fogged she can't remember the last time she believed in real happiness.

Skinny pill, skinny pill, standing on the scale. Waiting for the day till her pretty soul turns gentle and frail, down to 90 pounds and she has a goal and she won't fail.

Inhale, exhale, a rolled up cigarette filled with junk, and you don't even know what... All you know is that it takes you away, to another place... Only if it's just for today.....

Hospital, hospital, the smell of old flowers and cleaning supplies. Way to familiar for her... The emergency room she goes, 30 pounds underweight and her heart is beating slow. 3 weeks later after a last checkup she's ready to go, back to where she started not long ago.

The alcohol freezer is oh so welcoming, as she helps herself and she doesn't care what's coming.

A week later it's Thanksgiving.... Her mom says her daughter is doing fine, but she knows it's a lie. Everyone wants to be perfect, atleast on the outside..

On the inside her corspe is rotting, blood is slowing, temperature is dropping.

It's easy for you to understand now why the only thing she trusts and relies on are drugs and alcohol. It's the only thing there for her throughout everything

Swallow girl, swallow. All the pain that's holding you back inside, their words that cut you like a knife, your dad that doesn't want to be in your life, swallow all the pain, and wake up another day....
