Alec's POV
I pulled Funneh's car door open and stepped out. Gold still wasn't home. They're probably just questioning her. The front door slammed shut behind me and I sat on the couch. There was a game of Mario Kart paused. I turned off the tv and pulled out my phone. No calls, but one text. Fabulous, it was Yandere. Before she died. It was an even mix of swear words and 'I'm gonna kill you'. I sighed and stood up. This house is too quiet without Funneh. Maybe I'll go see what is taking Gold so long. I grabbed some sunglasses and pulled up my hood to make sure the police didn't see me. I walked outside and into Funneh's car. It was cold out. On my drive down the road, rain started to drizzle down the windshield. I pulled into the police station parking lot after a while and walked inside. There was a chubby old woman at the desk looking down at her phone. "Um, hello? Is there a girl named, uh, Gold here?" I tried to disguise my voice as much as possible. Her name tag read 'CHERYL' in large letters. "Nah, why do you care?" Rude. "No reason... just thought I might... find her here." "Listen, you got a missing person file to report, a friend who's avoiding ya, or no business here. Lemme give you a hint, it's the third one. Scram." Offended, I left the station and looked for Gold's car on the side of the road. Then I saw it. It was sloppily pulled over to the side of the road. I rushed across the street and looked through the window, but there was nobody there. The passenger door was open. There was a small forest on the other side of the car where the door was open, and without thinking, I ran into the forest to look for them.
