Funneh's POV
We walked into the restaurant, and the scent of food and the sounds of plates clattering and people chatting overwhelmed me. "Hello!" I swiftly turned to see a smiling waitress looking at me. "Table for two?" She asked. I smiled at her, she seemed friendly. "Yes, thank you." Alec grabbed my hand from behind and I looked back at him. "Is something wrong?" I whispered as the waitress gathered two menus. His eyes looked into the crowd, and there was worry in them. "Alec?" "It's nothing Funneh."There was something wrong, but I said nothing, nodded, and turned back to the waitress, who was now walking to our seats. We rushed to keep up with her fast pace. We walked to the very back, and the closer we got to wherever Alec was staring, the tighter he held my hand. We sat down at our seats and the waitress set down our menus. "Thanks." I said. The waitress nodded, then walked away to help other customers. The second she was away, I turned to Alec. "Alec, tell me what is wrong. We can go somewhere else if something is wrong with this place." I whispered. He glanced around the restaurant. "Um... no. This place is fine. I just thought I... um... saw someone I knew." His face made it obvious. He's lying. "Alec. I need to know what's going on to help-" Alec snapped his glance to the waiter who had suddenly appeared, who was wearing a patient expression. "Hello, how are you two tonight?" He asked cheerfully. I paused, assuming Alec would speak, but he must have thought the same, only vice-versa. "We're doing good, thank you." I answered quickly. "Good, good, good. Can I get you two anything to drink?" He was bursting with positivity. "I'll have a Shirley Temple, Alec?" I said. "Oh, um... I'll just have a water." He was acting strange. "Of course. I'll be right back with those." He waiter strode away, leaving us alone again. "Alec, tell me who you saw. Please." I immediately picked up the conversation where we left it. "Um... Finn Wolfhard." "Alec, no. You didn't see Finn Wolfhard. You can tell me." There was a tap on the table. "Alec? Funny to see you here."
