The evening was beautiful, the sky gloriously appeared like a painting so full of life. The trees were all green again and the flowers released gracious perfumes which filled the air and made life worth living. The city was enriched with a lot of things, beautiful singing of the birds, precious aromas from home made meals and the ones that makes you wanna eat out. Everyone lived happy, almost. But the evening was a magical one, the street lights were already up and running dimly as the sun was almost setting, lovers filled the streets, owners walking their dogs, children scampering all over the place. It was a sight! But, there in the outskirts of the city was a very very old House. It was built with wood that looked like it was falling apart, it had a rocking chair out on the porch and a dark rotten door. It's roof had holes in them that welcome the waters whenever they pour from the sky, the windows had webs inhabiting them and spiders made them their domains. In fact, the place inhabited a few creepy insects and they fit in pretty well.
The living room was more like a dead room, it was dark with a few sofas that reeked of rottenness. The wood was moist and broken because of the rain waters and a few worms could be seen right inside of them. There were no pictures or paintings or even a TV set. It only had a lamp on the table and a light bulb fixed to the ceiling alongside a fan which was extremely rusty and ugly.
The dining area was empty, just space and the creepy, moist wood. It had a window, which is pretty much how it was described earlier and the Kitchen wasn't much of a kitchen anymore. It was empty, spiders found homes in the cupboards and roaches were flying around.
Just outside the kitchen and at the end of the passage was a door to a room, the door was just like the one outside but creepier. Inside of it was better than the sitting room and the kitchen. The roof had no holes so the wood was still dry but old. There were no furniture except for a bed, looked like the former owners never deemed it fit to sell or renovate the place or maybe they're just dead. On the bed were two very young people making out.
Mary pulled out of the kiss and spoke in a whisper,
"So, why'd you bring me here?"
Jim gave a faint smile and replied, also in a whisper, "because I needed to be alone with you."
He was about kissing her again when she stood up and walked around a bit, then turned to him with her arms crossed,
"Yes, but why here?" She wasn't whispering anymore, and she looked creeped out and disgusted.
Jim slumped on the bed and put his hands under his head, "because it's the best place to be alone with you."
She looked at him, looking confused; "You could have at least taken me to a hotel or something Jim. This place, this place is really creeping me out."
She had already released an arm and walked over to where he was laying. He looked at her and chuckled, it got to her and she was somewhat annoyed
"This is so totally not funny. I want to get out of here Jim."
He sat up, raised a brow and said; "We will, it's just, I really need some place to be away from everything and everyone and be with you. Just you and I alone."
Mary looked at him for a while, then looked down. It was obvious how scared she was.
"Come here," he stretched his arm, she took it and sat next to him. He placed his arm on her cheek and looked straight into her eyes, "I want us to be alone, where nobody can disturb us. Don't you trust me?"
