Mary got to School that morning, all chirpy and full of life. She walked majestically, and enjoyed swinging her hair from side to side.
She's a straight haired brunette with carved brown brows and long lashes. She's got brown eyes, a pointed nose and slightly thin lips.
She was 5'8 ft tall with long legs and fingers, her sense of style revolved around gowns and short skirts. Despite her confidence, she was a shy one and a virgin. She got to her locker and turned to insert her combinations,
"14, 06, 98. Great!" She said out loud, but rather quietly in order not to spill her secret numbers to anyone. She opened the locker, and was about keeping her text books in when Catalina tried to scare her.
"Boo!" she exclaimed.
"Ha ha, very funny." Mary rolled her eyes, not scared at all.
Catalina was a sight for sore eyes, the Spanish beauty had brown skin, long wavy hair and the face of an Angel. There's also the part about the spanish accent that Mary seemed to enjoy hearing a lot. She was taller than Mary, as tall as 5'9 and plays for the female basketball team in school. She was also a good swimmer, let's say she was very sporty and loved to party.
"¡Chica aburrida¡ You're never one for jokes." Catalina complained, disappointed.
Mary stuck her tongue out as a response. She brought out a baby pink lipstick and painted her lips while she focused on her locker's mirror. Catalina just stood there, looking at her nails and at students who passed by. Just then, a ringtone started and Catalina brought out her phone from her pocket.
"¡Hola mamá¡ - pause - ¡No, no he visto al Sr John¡ - pause - ¡Sí, estoy diciendo la verdad mama.¡" she rolled her eyes,"¡Mamá ese chico es un perdedor total, por supuesto que no apruebo de él! ¡ - pause - ¡no me gusta parati¡ -pause- ¡por supuesto que no voy a cambiar de opinión¡" she scoffed, earning Mary's look for a second before she faces the mirror again, "¿sabes que? No voy a discutir sobre esto ahora mismo. Te veré cuando regrese bien? - pause - ¡Mamá, mamá escúchame¡ - pause - ¡Esta bien¡" She exhaled loudly, "¡SÍ, yo también te amo.¡ - pause - Esta bien adios."
"Let me guess, it's about that dude again." Mary said still looking at the mirror and pouting Her lips.
Catalina exhaled, her back was on a locker, "SÍ, she's crazy about him."
Mary turned to look at her, "Hey cheer up! It's your mom, let her live her life."
"You wouldn't understand cara bonita, but I actually want the best for her." Catalina gave a sour expression, and started playing with her nails again.
"Hey, hey. Don't be like that, alright! Topic never discussed okay? Let's throw it away in the bin." Mary joked, earning a chuckle from Catalina,
"¡loca¡"
Just then, Mary's face lit up, while she stared straight ahead. Catalina traced Her gaze to the hottest boy in school, he was a very cute blonde with blue eyes and charming everything. He waved their way, and Mary waved back looking like she was about to burst into butterflies.
Catalina looked back at Mary wide eyed and disappointed, "uh uh, no way in hell." She shook her head while holding up a finger in the air.
"Oh come on, it was just an innocent wave." Mary turned to her, grinning with pink cheeks.
"I saw the way your face lit up, I'm no fool. ¡No me tomes como uno.¡" Catalina still held her finger in the air as a gesture.
Mary rolled her eyes, and placed her palm on Catalina's shoulder, "chill out mom, he doesn't bite."
"That boy is no good, stay away from him." She had her serious look that could kill.
Mary removed her hand from her shoulder and closed her locker shut, then they started walking to their first Class. "It's fine. Let's just throw this one in the bin as well. Hey did you finish that Homework Mr eye brows gave us?"

It was lunch time and students were already at the cafeteria, looking like hungry dogs. Mary was already seated with her chicken sandwich and orange juice on the table, she wasn't alone, Jim was also there, he had one foot up on the bench and an elbow resting on his lap while he talked to her.
Catalina entered the cafeteria and glanced around to catch a sight of Mary, her eyes met their direction and she rolled her eyes in disappointment "¡Morena estúpida.¡" She said to herself.
Then she went over to the counter and grabbed a tray, still turning her back to check on them while shaking her head. She settled for a ham burger with fries and a cup of orange juice, she kept the tray on the counter in front of the cashier and paid, waiting for her change. She turned back again and saw Jim kiss Mary on the cheek and walked away. She collected Her change and walked over to the bench Mary was sitting on.
"Hey Lina!" Mary greeted, excited.
"I saw you with gilipollas." Catalina said, taking a bite of her burger and not looking at Mary.
"With what?" she laughed, "he asked me out." a spark of pink lit up in her cheeks.
Catalina almost chocked on her juice and turned to her, wide eyed, "He did what? You said no right?"
"What? Of course not." Mary scoffed.
"I knew it, ¡eres realmente estúpido¡" Catalina said, narrowing her eyes in disappointment.
Mary felt awkward and fought back, " Okay A, do not eres me nothing. And B, I'm not your mom so don't think you can control who I go out with."
Catalina looked at Mary long and hard then chuckled and said, "you don't know anything about boys. I know his type, the user y descargar type. Now listen here perra, I will not sit here and watch you disrespect my mother. You can go ahead and do whatever you like, but mark my words, you will regret this. ¡Eso es cierto.¡"
She had already stood up facing Mary with her finger in the air - that seemed to be her thing, then stormed out of the Cafeteria without looking back. Mary watched her leave, then exhaled in regret.
She knew Catalina only meant well for her, but she really liked Jim.
Her phone vibrated and she checked it out, it was a text from Jim: "Let's meet later on after school yeah? Pick you up at Home by 5. I Luv u, girlfriend. ;)"
That made her grin as she bit her lower lip, her stomach had butterflies all over and she lost her appetite. So she took a sip from her juice and made her way out of the cafeteria.
