💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
The morning was ever so lovely the next day, Catalina's nervousness was at the worst wreckage as she jugged. She was sweaty already, exhaling at intervals and trying to internally encourage herself to be brave.
"I can do this," she spat out, as she jugged on, "I can beat her. She isn't my best friend anymore, I mean how could she go on a murder spree just to get to four weaklings? Human Mary wouldn't do that. Human 'best friend' Mary wouldn't. She's let her vices go nuts." She stopped to catch her breath. She bent down to get support from her knees as she inhaled and exhaled rapidly. She noticed her heart going nuts too.
As she got herself into an upright position, she noticed a little girl standing right in front of her. Just staring. Catalina thought it to be a bit awkward, she's probably lost or something.
The girl seemed to be between the ages of 6-8 thereabout, she had long blonde curls, freckles adorned her pink cheeks and her small nose. She wore a red flay gown with white polka dots displayed all over. White socks and black shoes covered her feet and her right hand had a black band with a little white flower in the middle.
"Hey," she called out, grinning and trying to impress the child. But the little girl just stood, her expression was blank.
"Are you lost?" Still, no reply.
"Where's your mom?" Nothing.
"¡increíble prequeño mocoso.¡" She scoffed and said to herself as she glanced around, trying to catch a sight of her mother. But no young female was in sight, just a man mowing his lawn two houses away and a middle aged woman walking her dog.
"Okay, you got a name or what?" She asked. The little girl smiled and nodded.
"Oh you do? What is it?" She asked.
Surprisingly, the little girl brought up her pointer finger over her mouth. Gesturing Catalina to keep a secret, then she made a signal for her to come closer.
"Okay?" Catalina smiled, it felt weird yet amusing in a way. She went closer, bending a bit forward to level herself with the height of the kid. The girl went closer to her and drew her face in, trying to say something into Catalina's ear and covering it with her palm as if not to let the words escape.
"Mary." the girl whispered. Then just like magic, a high pitch rang itself in Catalina's ears as she covered them with her palms tightly and opened her mouth in pain. Her head began to throb and her vision slowly blurred out as she looked at the smiling child.

Jim had himself all dressed in a grey shirt and black Jean pants. He wore a rosary, they were Catholic but he never deemed it befitting to put on a rosary till the recent events. He needed to stay safe.
He had a little errand to run before heading over to Catalina's. He had thought he wouldn't make it, he might not have the opportunity to say goodbye to his little friend across the Street.
Knock! Knock!
He slightly knocked on the door, making his knuckles slightly red.
A young woman in her mid thirties opened the door, a smile lit up her face at the sight of Jim and she didn't hesitate to gesture him in.
"Good day miss Judy." he said as he walked into the apartment.
The sitting room was spacious, green and yellow was written all over it. The walls were a combination of both colors, the furniture played the same hues and a few decorative items too. Except for a few picture frames, the TV set, the wooden floor and the ceiling which was white.
