^ Cause you're the best. Check her out?

When Alex woke up she wasn't tired, she hadn't been sleeping much and last night made up for it. She glanced at the time and saw it was only 7:30 so she wiggled out of Adrian's hold, went to the bathroom and quietly left the room.

You could imagine Tiffanie's surprise when Alex came bounding down the stairs.

"Hey Tiff, how you holding up?" Tiffanie shrugged, she was worried. "Hungry?" Alex asked, heading towards the kitchen. She started humming a tune, and Tiffanie followed her.

"Uhm, Alex? Are you okay?" Alex nodded.

"I got a great sleep last night, so i'm in a good mood," she answered her, pulling down a loaf of bread from the pantry. "French toast, sausage and bacon," she told her, pulling everything she needed out.

She mixed the eggs, cinnamon and milk together while Tiffanie made the meat. They heard everyone began stirring in their beds as the smell of bacon spread through the house.

'Ten minutes,' she murmured into the packs heads. They understood and mumbled their agreements. Due to how many people were in the house, they had a giant flat top stove, and she had no trouble making enough french toast and meat.

They put the food on platters and got out the juices, milks, coffee and tea and began setting it out on the table, plates had been set out by the females who had come down and soon everyone was on their way downstairs. She grabbed a coffee mug, poured herself some coffee and loaded it with cream.

When she sat down she started thinking about her childhood, and the... skill she had. She hadn't had an episode since she met Adrian. She was just starting to find out why the two of them did that. She wondered if it had gone away, maybe Devyn knows.

"Hey, Tiff, where's Devyn?" He had been here last night, she figured he'd stay.

Tiffanie's face fell, "I don't know, I woke up in the middle of the night and he was gone," she said shrugging. Alex knew they were mates, but she didn't think Devyn understood that.

"You need to tell him, he knows what mates are, but he doesn't know he can have  one," she told Tiff as Adrian walked in. He smiled at her, walked towards her and sat next to her.

"Mmm, did you make this?" He asked the two, they nodded. Adrian served himself, Alex and Tiffanie and sat back down beside her.

Everyone laughed, ate and enjoyed the company of their friends and family. Tiffanie was still puzzled over the fact that Devyn had disappeared and she wondered what happened, did he not like her anymore. The two had grown close, and she could no longer sleep without him there. He didn't know they were mates, perhaps if she had told him he wouldn't have left.

After breakfast Alex had time to herself. This was bad, because she began thinking of her family. Tears slid down her face at the mere thought of not seeing them again.

"Alpha!" One of the Patrol Wolves yelled in her head. She had tuned in to listen for any news. "I've got a scent!" She jumped out of her chair and ran out to the woods. The call had been aimed more towards Adrian, but she wanted to be involved. She sniffed out the patrol, they had all taken off in on direction and she quickly shifted and ran. She pushed herself as hard as she could and soon caught up with them. She bounded to the front of the pack, with Adrian and he shot her a wolfish grin.

"Nice of you to join us," he commented. "We don't know what this scent is. Do you?" Alex took a deep breath, she recognized the scents surrounding her, but there was one that stood out. It smelled like her mother, but not, almost like, a twin. But her twin sister died during child birth.
