a/n: I should have made this clear before: chapters 29 and 30 are set a week after chapter 28.
I wanted to go and see Scott after that encounter. It was still early so I assumed he'd be at home. But I called him first. "Scott?" I spoke first.
"Hey, babe," He responded making me smile. "What's up?"
"I want to come see you," I replied, still smiling. There was a pause. "Hello?" I called out hoping he didn't cut off.
"I'm at the club right now," He finally spoke. "I need to rehearse my dance. I working on something new," He responded. An idea hit me. I'd go surprise him at the club. He'd love that. "Maybe we can hang out later?"
"Alright, I'll text you later," I replied. "Love you. See you later,"
"Love you too," I ended the call and began
my journey to the club. I wondered what he'd think of me randomly showing up. I couldn't wait to see his reaction.I turned up to the club. For the first time, the outside was empty. There was no bouncer. The door was opened, so I walked in. It was empty. I didn't see Scott anywhere.
There was a pole on stage. No one was around so I decided to climb on stage. I walked over to the pole a grabbed a hold of it. I began spinning around the pole.
"Alright, play music," I heard a voice from behind the wall shout. That's What I Like by Bruno Mars came on. I heard a set of footsteps coming in my direction. I looked at where they were coming from and saw Scott. "One, two, thr-" He turned around and stopped counting when he saw me. He smiled with shock on his face. "Baby!" He exclaimed as he ran to me. He hugged me tight and I held him. "Stop the music!" He shouted to the DJ. "What are you doing here?"
"I came to surprise you,"
"Aww, you're so cute," He kissed me on the check. He sat on the edge of the stage. "So, how's your day going?" He asked as he gestured for me to sit on his lap.
"It's been good so far," I straddled his hips. "And it just got better," I smiled up at him. I rested my arms on his shoulders as I began listing what I had done that day. He just looked at me attentively, really taking in what I had to say. "Oh! I also helped Aiden out with his finals,"
His smile faltered and transformed into a neutral expression at the sound of Aiden's name. "You did?" He questioned.
I was slightly confused by his reaction. I didn't expect him to react that way. "W-Was I not supposed to?" I replied in a nervous stutter.
He sighed. "I can't control you. You can do what you like and speak to whoever. But I just get a bad feeling anytime you mention him. I don't trust him,"
"I understand but he's not a
bad person. He apologised earlier and now it's all goo-""He apologised?"
I paused. "Huh?"
"You just said he apologised. What did he apologise for?" I realised what I just said. I had to clarify.
"Well, do you remember that party we went to?" He nodded. "And do you remember when I stepped out?" He nodded again. "Well," I paused and fidgeted with my fingers. I tried avoiding tell him the truth, but I couldn't lie to him. "Aiden came out and we were talking, one thing led to another and he kissed me," I admitted. "But, I pushed him off of me and came back to you," I spoke before his facial expression could change. "Now, I know you're ang-"
He kissed me on the lips, cutting me off. As we pulled away he had a subtle smile. "I'm not angry,"
"You aren't?" I questioned and he shook his head.
"Well, I'm not angry at you. It wasn't your fault," He lifted both of my hands and kissed them. "Just be careful around him, alright?"
"Alright," He kissed me on the cheek and smiled at me. "So what's this routine you've been working on?"
"Should I show you?"
"Yes!" I exclaimed excitedly. I slid off his lap and he got up onstage. I sat in one of the seats around the stage.
The music came on and so did he. He began moving down the thrust, swinging his hips in a mesmerising movement. He did a spin and continued moving down. I was impressed and entranced by him and his ability to hypnotise with just the way he moved.
He made it to the pole and froze. "This is the part that I'm still trying to figure out,"
"I have a suggestion. This might sound a little strange but pretend the pole is me." I suggested and he started laughing. I just stared at him, not laughing along with him.
His laugh began fading and then he realised. "You're being serious?"
"Mhm,"
He coughed awkwardly. "I guess I could try that,"
"Just make it more dance-like,"
He paused for a while. "Alright, but I'm not going to show you. I want you to see it tonight,"
I playfully pouted. He walked over to me and cupped my face in his hands. He kissed my pouted lip and smiled. "Fine," I whined.
"Go back to your dorm and come back tonight,"
