Scott POV
I locked my door and began heading to the club. I began walking down the hallway about to get to the stairs. As I took a step down, Avi stumbled up the stairs. "Avi, what are you doing here? I thought you were at a party," I asked him with surprise in my voice. His head darted up at me and his facial expression softened.
"Protect me," He whispered, softly. He ran up the stairs and clung on to me. "They're after me," He whispered with fear in his voice.
I began getting scared and feared for his safety. I rushed us back to my apartment and opened it up. I locked my door behind us. I felt him trembling and I sat him down on the couch. He was shaking and looking around, in fear. I tried to get him to look at me. "Baby, who's after you?" I asked him.
His eyes flittered around avoiding me. "Avi, look at me," I held his head in place to stare at me. "Who is after you?"
"The red people," He answered. I looked at him with confusion. He got up and started roaming around my living room. I was going to be late to work if I didn't leave. But due to his current state, I wasn't going to work at all.
I had to call them. I brought out my phone and called the club. "Hi, it's Scott. I can't come in today," I waited for their response as I was put in hold. I looked over at Avi and he was looking outside the window.
"Scott, come look," He whispered to me. I walked over to him and he pointed outside the window. "The red is everywhere. It's angry out there," He whispered. I was confused. All that was out there was people walking down the street.
"Hello, Scott?" My boss' voice came through the phone.
"Hey, I can't come in today,"
"Why not?"
"I'm sorry but it's an emergency, you can ask Coco to perform or something,"
"Alright. I hope everything turns out ok," My boss replied. I ended the phone conversation. I looked around and Avi wasn't in the room anymore. "Avi!" I called out for him. I went into my bedroom and he wasn't in there. I went into the kitchen and he wasn't there either.
I heard the shower run. Slowly, I opened the bathroom door and saw him sat in the shower letting water soak into his clothes. "Avi, what are you doing?" I rushed over to turn off the water.
"I'm contaminated," He answered turning the water back on. "If I don't clean myself, I'll turn into a red too,"
"No, you won't,"
"Yes I wi-" He suddenly covered his ears. "Why is everything so loud?" He yelled. I was just so confused by what was going on. "I'm turning into a red," He yelled. I crouched down in front of him and looked into his eyes. His pupils were extremely dilated. I knew what was going on. He was on acid.
I turned off the water once more and picked him up. I carried him to my room. I sat him down on my bed as I stripped him down from his wet clothes and put them in a basket. I brought some of my clothes and put them on him. "My angel," He whispered at me. I wanted to smile but I just couldn't. Not in this circumstance. "I can see your wings and halo,"
"You're on acid, Avi, everything will be ok," I tried to reassure him.
"My angel, can I kiss you?" He asked. I looked over at him and sighed. He smiled at me. I walked over to him and crouched down. I placed hand on his cheek. He facial expression shifted into fear. He slapped my hand away and scurried to the back of the bed. "You're turning red," He whispered shakily.
"Avi, I'm not one of them," I tried to reassure him.
"You promise?"
"I promise," I reached out to him and he slowly reached out to me.
"You're glowing," He giggled and I softly smiled. "You're right, I can trust you," I crawled on to the bed next to him.
He laid his head on my lap, staring up at me. I looked down at him and was analysing my face. "What do you see?"
"Beauty," He responded. His hands softly graced my face and just ran up and down. I watched as his pupils began to constrict and go back to regular size.
"Avi?"
"Hm?"
"Who did you go to the party with?"
"Aiden," He replied and I got that bad feeling again.
"Ok," I responded. Aiden always fucked things up. Everything he did messed up our relationship one way or another. He messed up Avi anymore. Avi was changing. Changing for the worst.
