"I'll be right down," I ended my phone call with Aiden. I began leaving my room. "I'll see you later, Mitch," I shouted before heading out of the door. I really should have brought Scott with me but maybe this could be fun without him.
I reached the bottom of the stairs and Aiden was there. He was on his phone typing to someone. As soon as I reached his level he looked at me with bewilderment. "Hey," I greeted smiling at me.
"H-Hi, Avi," He stuttered nervously with a smile. I hugged him before heading out the building.
"Where's the party?" I asked trying to start conversation.
"An hour away from here," He answered.
"How are we getting there?" I questioned and he pointed at a car parking itself.
"My friend is here to pick us up,"
We reached the car. Aiden opened the car door. I saw two other guys in the backseat. "Umm Ricky, I thought you said that there was going to be space for the both of us," Aiden complained. His friend shrugged his shoulders.
"I-I could just sit on your lap if that's ok with you," I suggested and he looked at me with a blush. He scratched the back of his head.
"It's the only way Aiden," His friend spoke.
"Ok, sure," Aiden responded. He sat in the car and soon after I got in. I sat down on his lap, trying to adjust. "Comfortable?" He asked and I nodded.
The car began driving at a fast speed and I went flying back into his chest. "S-Sorry," I apologised to Aiden. The ride continued. The bumps and humps of the road had me bouncing all over his lap. I was sliding down his lap when he grabbed a hold of my waist to secure me.
If this was all happening last year, being in a car with him on his lap, I would have gone crazy. I would have loved all of this. I would've been his instantly. I knew he wanted me. I could see all the signs I just chose to ignore them because I have Scott. I only wanted Scott.
After that bumpy ride, we eventually made it to the location. I got out of the car and looked around. We were outside a huge building that could have been abandoned. Loud bass music played from the building. A large crowd of people entered.
"Ready to go inside?" Aiden asked me.
"Sure," We began to walk inside the building. It was overwhelmingly packed with so many people. Everyone was dancing and drinking. The air smelled of strong alcohol and I could feel myself getting drunk already.
As the party progressed, I could feel myself loosening up a bit. I had a couple drinks in my system and was dancing the night away. I was having the time of my life dancing with everyone. Dancing with Aiden.
Someone called him away and I was left to dance with strangers. But I didn't care. I could dance with anyone. This felt amazing.
Aiden came back. "Do you want to try something cool?" He asked me.
"What is it?" I replied with a question. He showed me a packet of yellow tablets. "Candy?"
"LSD," He clarified smiling at me. I was a little unsure about. This was slightly reminiscent of the time I first started smoking weed. Maybe this could've been a pleasant experience too.
"Ok," I took the packet from and took a tablet out of the packet. I place it on my tongue and drank my drink to wash it down. "What now?" I asked him.
"Just wait," He responded.
I kept dancing to the music not phased by what had just entered my system.
All of a sudden, everyone around me turned into glowing particles. They glowed brighter and brighter and brighter. The sound of white noise accompanied the light change. A glowing figure came towards me. It reached for me and slapped it away. It began turning red. An angry face began growing on. Everything around me began turning red. Like a wave of red. I felt as if they were all angry at me. I needed to get out of there.
I ran out there in a panic. I looked around and saw nothing but destruction. I felt like screaming but I just couldn't. I just ran and ran. I looked into the distance and saw a bright building that reminded me of a castle. My safe haven.
I looked behind me and saw the angry glow chasing after me. I sprinted away from it to get to my safe haven. I wasn't safe anymore.
