                *Ethan's POV*

My eyes open to the sound of a shriek coming from downstairs and my nostrills are filled with the smell of something burning in an instant. I can't help but ask myself if that thing is my own head ,as my palm reaches my forehead. My skin feels unusually hot.

That's when i ride off my dizziness and last night hits me. I remember tears, rain covering my whole body as i was running and most importantly, i remember every inch of Alex's body. My hands and lips all over it. Her hot breaths ringing in my ear.
I smile to myself.

But where is Alex now?

I open my closet hastily, slipping into the first pair of boxers that i can reach and my feet lead me to the kitchen, right where the burning smell is coming from.

Alex's big round eyes widen in shock, making the distinctive blue in them come out even more. As if it was possible for her to get any more beautiful, wearing nothing but my t-shirt and her most genuine smile. Her palms latch onto her hair before scratching the back of her head in an akward"everything's cool" kind of way. It doesn't take long for her smile to turn into giggles, copying mine, while she is trying to cover the kitchen with her small figure.

"What did you do?"

"I wanted to be the cute kind of girlfriend for once and tried to make pancakes but i obviously failed" she stares down at her feet, trying to avoid eye contact and an "aww" escapes from my mouth without me even noticing.

I can' help but ask myself if it's possible for me to fall more in love with her, although my mind knows that somehow she manages to force me into it.

"Come here" i open my arms waiting for her to come close to me but she doesn't. "What? You planned on making me breakfast but you won't hug me?"

"It's not that" she looks back at me and starts laughing before murmuring "fine"

As soon as she starts walking towards me, i get exactly what she means. She attempts to walk with her legs completely parted, the discomfort in her face being clear. I'm stuck between laughing at the sight of it or getting worried.

"You walk funny" i burst into laughter before trying to help her out.

"No no no just stay there, i'm perfectly fine" she points her finger at me warningly at me and stumbles -luckily- upon me.

"You're such a stubborn ass" i mumble against her cheek

"My ass is something you won't come near anytime soon. Haven't felt like this ever since the first time i tried to beat you at working out." I stop laughing as soon as i realize she has felt more pain, pain caused from Brandon. Thank god she doesn't remember that right now.

"Let's get you to bed then before Grayson and Laura come back or we won't get to cuddle" i signal her to wrap herself around me and as soon as her hands meet my shoulders i whimper in pain. Alex did me good.

We get in Alex's room and i gently place her on her bed, literally afraid that she might break into my arms -and it's not like she'd even let me know-. I walk towards the curtains and close them to prevent the sun from coming in and eventually worsening my headache, and my eyes are suddenly caught on a book placed on Alex's nightstand drawer. As soon as i open it, Alex tells me to put it down and my intrigued self stumbles on a page in the middle if it, wanting to know what's in it.

"Put that down it's too personal even for you to read" she squeals again and i take a look on it. I soon realize it's not a book, it looks more like a diary; in fact an old one as Alex's handwriting has grown much more decent.
