Later that night...
*Alex's POV*
I got out of Brandon's car and headed to the door. As soon as they opened and i stepped into the yard i could feel my heart beating out of my chest because of how loud the music was. Of course Grayson had something to do with the music since a song by the weeknd was playing.
As i got closer i saw him in the dj's position and greeted him. The yard was empty as i decided to visit an hour before the party just in case something goes wrong but mostly because i was curious to see if Ethan could really pull off a cool outfit without any of my help.
Brandon followed me to the house's entrance wrapping his arm around me. A smiling Cameron opened the door and hugged me tight enough for my nonexistent boobs to feel numb but i was so happy to see her after 4 months.
"I missed you soo much Cam" i whispered in her neck
"how's college been going?" I let go and gasp for air
"It's been good umm and i guess that's your boyfriend?"
Knowing Cameron she probably didn't approve of my choice and it was pretty obvious "oh god yes! I forgot to introduce you um this is Brandon he's your age" and now i was 100% sure my thoughts were right
"Hi i'm Cameron" she almost whispered
"and i'm Brandon nice to meet you" i decided to break the akward silence
"soo i was thinking of catching up with Cam for a bit do you wanna come inside?" Of course he doesn't
"no i'm good right here..might get me something to drink and talk to Grayson" this is gonna be awkwaard
"okay i'll see you in a few minutes" Cam closed the door behind her and we sat on the couch
"you don't like him huh?" I say
"Isn't he a little old for you? I mean it's a 3 years difference but he also got those fuckboy looks strong"does he really?
"he's a good guy" i sigh "he accepts me for who i am and we've been together for over a year now so i know him" she gave me an understanding look
"i trust you. i just want to make sure you don't settle for anything less than what you deserve" i can't help but smile
"I'm happy that's for sure"
my eyes travel next to my arm where the gifts i got for the boys are "i think i'll go upstairs to help your brother and hand him those" i say pointing out to the bags
"go, go! i'll stay the night so we'll talk later" i nodd and go upstairs
*Ethan's POV*
I open the door and there is Alex leaving me spechless for the second time today..for the first time in her life she was wearing a dark blue dress that fit like a glove on her and obviously a push up bra that made her boobs look at least a cup bigger.
Her eyes looked even more beautiful with mascara on. I was so overwhelmed by my view that i didn't notice the way Alex's eyes where travelling up and down my body untill now.
"Okay now who are you and what did you do to Alex?" The words escaped my mouth without thinking
"who dressed you up like this?"
The was no way this was her idea "weell i did but to be honest there was a little pushing by Lauras side" Laura was what you'd call a barbie girl and she also happened to be Alex's only girl friend
"Now can you tell me how you managed to look insanely handsome without my help?" YAS i look good. She likes how i look.
"I didn't even try to i just went shopping , saw this flannel and bought it" i tried to hide the excitement in my voice
"Well you obviously did good. Blue always looks good on you" she said stepping close enough for her warm breath to hit on my neck and opened 3 buttons of my flannel.
"Hmm even better" she struggled to catch her breath and i liked that
"you do know that the famous chicks have placed a bet right?" hmm what?
"what kind of bet?" She smirked at me
"awe my innocent Eth..they want to have sex with you and Gray. Laura told me." woah
"Really? You didn't notice them giving you the heart eyes all this time?" Well no i was pretty occupied liking you.
"no i didn't notice actually" i say
"but you never notice! It's like you're blind or something" she now seemed kinda frustrated.
"did you even know i had a major crush on you 2 years ago?" I can't let that shink in. She liked me. She got over me. Fuck.
"You did?" I say looking into her eyes in desbilief.
"Yeah" she looked down at her feet and i felt bad
"So what did you get me?" I try to force a smile
"me" she said playfully
"hmm then what's in those bags?"
She got up and opened the one that said Ethan on it "I decided since we used to make many videos as kids i'd make a compilation of them and humilliate your 17 year old ass..and mine" she laughed
"and what's that other thing in there?" I say
"ooh that's your sweatshirt" .
"And you decided to give it back to me as a birthday present?" I said sarcastically
"well it's very warm and big and it smells good..consider this as a favor"
i pictured her wearing it and it warmed my heart "you can keep it"
"noo i've got too many plus now it smells just like the other ones..sorry about that" there goes my new favorite sweatshirt.
"well don't be because i like your smell" maybe i came a little too far "i'm also probably going to confirm the rumors that say i'm gay" we both laugh.
"that was years ago Eth, no one says that now" she runs her fingers through my hair to fix it and i close my eyes at her soft touch
"well maybe except for some jealous boyfriends" she winks at me.
"shall we go now? Brandon is waiting for me and i'm pretty sure some people came to see you" Was that douche needed in my house on my birthday?
"uh yeah sure lets go" i tried to hold back the anger.
We opened the door and even though the party just started the yard was full of people, most of them being strangers to our eyes. We searched for Brandon and Alex finally found him drinking next to the bar while talking to Grayson.
He got up to give me a handshake and wished me happy birthday with the fakest of smiles. He seemed really angry but not only at me..Alex tried to hold hands with him but failed and he whispered something to her ear.
"Alex is everything alright?" I asked
"yeah everything's fine" no it's not
"me and Brandon are gonna dance now so i guess we'll catch up later"
she seemed really nervous and Grayson could tell that too. A few minutes passed and we decided to grab our drinks and go to the roof so we could have a better view of what was happening.
That was when i saw them. They were at the left side of the yard, where most people had started making out, but they were clearly fighting.
Just when i had enough and decided to go down and stop them she leaned in and kissed him. Ouch.
I really wanted to punch the fuck out of him but i don't have the right to. She would also hate me. So i sat there watching them make out untill i felt Grayson's hand on my back and tears streaming down my cheeks.
I grabbed myself a drink and went back to my room to change my clothes as it was suddenly getting much colder than two minutes ago.
My eyes automatically focused on the bags she left on my bed and i knew exactly what i was going to wear.
