Luke One Shot // The Truth

Today was the day you were going to tell Luke the truth about what was wrong with you. He never understood why you were so distant and never wanted to get close to people. You were very sick and your life was always one the line. You never wanted him to get too close to you cause if you passed away and he was grieving about it you would hate yourself more than you already did. Being with him made you feel amazing but hurt you far too much at the same time.

He was coming over today cause you asked him to. He was nervous cause you never wanted to set anything up. He knew you loved distance.

"I am here (Y/N)" he called out to you when he opened the door to your apartment. 

"Come in the living room Luke" you called back to him. You heard his footsteps coming closer to you with every step he took. The closer he got the harder it became to hold your tears back.

"How is it going baby girl?" he asked you sitting beside you on the couch. When he saw that you had tears in your eyes he immediately pulled you into his arms.

"Luke I have something very important to tell you" you said taking control of your tears.

"What do you need to tell me sunshine" he asked you letting you go a bit so that he could look into your eyes.

The sickness you had was something that you developed when you were a baby. Your parents always treated you the same so that no one would see that you were different and that I why people never suspected that you were sick. You looked like anyone that you might see on the street so the fact that Luke never knew or asked if the was anything wrong with you didn't bug you. You were about to hit him with a bomb shell that he would have never expected. 

"Luke I am very sick. And I don't mean I have a cold or the stomach flue. I have a type of cancer that wont affect me until I am older. That is the reason I have been keeping you away. I don't want you to get hurt if you don't have to. There are already so many people who will be affected by it. My mum passed away cause of it as well. Please don't be upset with me for not telling you sooner" you said to him and began to cry harder than you ever have about it.

Luke said nothing to you. He pulled you into him lap and began to rock you. He was trying to calm you down and it was working. You were regaining control of yourself. You  loved him so much that you couldn't love him or in the end nothing was going to turn out right in the end.

"Listen to me right now. I don't care about your sickness. It is a part of you and I accept it cause I love you more than anyone I have ever met. I need you to get that through your head. I will love you until the day you die so you might as well accept my love" he said you taking your face in his massive hands and kissing you sweetly and softly.
