My phone pings. And pings. Then it buzzes. And pings. I groan. "Hi..I put a blanket on you in the night. Your phone has been pinging all morning, you might want to check that." Amy laughs. I yawn. I grab my phone. I have a missed call from an unknown number and about 30 emails. I click on my emails and grin. I have an interview today at 11am to be a therapist. I glance st the clock. 10:58am. Poo! Thank his the interview is just down the road. I brush my hair, whack a top on and rush out the house and down the road. "Miss Fallon?" The receptionist asks me. I nod. "This way." Another lady leads me through into a big office. "Hello." She says. "So I am just going to ask you why you chose to be a therapist?"
"My best friend she..died and I wnst to help the world and..." I try not to cry. The lady types something on the laptop and nods."Age?" She asks me.
I secretly smile. "Eighteen tommorow."
She nods and smiles. "We will get back to you soon, goodbye!" I walk nervously out the room and walk down the road. I decide to text Kayla and Amy to ask if they want to go shopping.
Better meet Amy properly, hey?
"Sorry, I can't! Date with Landon, but I'm so sorry! Hope your ok!" Kayla answers. I grin and text back. "It's fine have fun girl!"
"Boo!"
I jump. I turn around to see Amy fully dressed up ready. "Need a little shopping in our life's as girls don't we?" She winked. I laughed. We walked to the mall. A guy was smoking outside a children's shop. "Excuse me, but I don't think you should be doing that. Innocent young children are in there, and your sitting there smoking? You could harm them! So please would you move somewhere else, maybe in a smoking zone?" Amy rants but calmly then walks out, holding a smirk when the guys walks to the smoking zone. I burst out with laughter. "Sorry..I..His..Your..Face...Priceless!" I splutter out. She eyes me and up and down then taps her head. "Cuckoo. Your cuckoo."
I glance at my phone to see a text from Christian. "Date me? 2 shy 2 say 2 ur face. Which is gorg, btw." I thought about how I feel with Christian and texted back a thumbs up emojji. "Ok, why are you a chilli?" Amy giggles, reading over my shoulder. "Got a boyfriend now have you? Well lucky you, hope he is as good as my Gavin." Amy raises an eyebrow and then another. I flinch at the 'my Gavin' comment, but know she means no harm by it so I just shrug it off and look at our hands. Three bags in each hand, of makeup, clothes, books, hair gel, things like that. Then Amy bends down and I see a dream catcher tattooed to her thigh. She sees me staring. She bites her lip. "You don't like it, do you? Nobody usually does, not really." She looks sad. I aerialist confuse her. "I don't like it- I LOVE IT!" I sing.
She laughs. "Ok weirdo!"
"Clubbing tonight? You and me?" She asks. I nod encouragingly and we rush off to our house to get ready. "I'm happy you have moved in." I comment randomly to Amy as she looks at my outfits to pick me a stunner for tonight. "Thanks." She replies casually. "This one!" She pulls out my pearl top and my mermaid green skirt, along with white wedges. Then she grabs my Clinique mascara and my Kylie Jenner light pink lipgloss. She starts to silly my makeup and I change into my clothes. By the time our hair, makeup and clothes were on and we were ready, it was 9pm. "Time flies!" She sang with happiness. I admired myself in the mirror. Amy is so good at styling, no wonder she majors in Fashion! She wobbled in her heels as she puts her arm out for a taxi. A cab comes up and we jump in. "Where to girls?"Hmm.
Amy giggles, as she already had a bottle of wine. "Wherever the night takes us!" I thought that was just a phrase, but ten minutes later we pull in I a club with the same name. "Woo!" Amy calls out as I pay the driver. We run into the club and start partying. Boys come up to us and dance sometimes, and free drinks come and go. By 3am, Amy was totally and utterly wasted, so I ordered a cab. The cab took us home and I had already learned so much about Amy in one night. My new best friend. No. New friend. Tia. My eyes well up. I hadn't thought of Tia at all today. How dare I betray her. Amy slurrs golbidigoop as she walks up the stairs. I say walk, I more mean away and falls many times up the stairs until she wonders into Gavins bedroom. I laugh. I ignore my phones endless pinging and lay on the comfy sofa. I shut my eyes and transport myself to a much nicer, cleaner land full of hopes and dreams...
