A/N: Keeping the Goddamn door shut?  Sorry, I needed this to be the title don't judge me.

Your POV:

A few minutes earlier, you and Dan both had your ears pressed up against the door, listening closely to their conversation. You had socks on, and your feet kept slipping on the floor. You felt yourself begin to fall, and so you gripped the door with your hands for balance. However, your hand accidentally grabbed the doorknob, and the door flew open under both you and Dan's weight. You both fell out onto the floor infront of Phil and Lori. They turned to you both in surprise. Dan got up off of the ground awkwardly.

"Oh, hi!"Dan said, laughing nervously.

Phil laughed and said,"Dan, were you two spying on us?"

"Uhhhm nope! We were just.. admiring the way the door felt?"

Dan noticed you were still on the ground, and reached his hand out to you. He pulled you up off of the ground. Lori looked upset, and you tried to smile at them both as innocently as possible.

"Oh come on Dan, is that the best excuse you've got?"Phil teased.

You held back a smile.

"Well what was I supposed to say Phil?" he huffed, raising his voice.

Phil's eyes lit up and he shouted,"You just admitted you were lying!"

"Oh whatever!" he yelled and then mumbled,"It doesn't matter now, just forget about it."

Dan looked at you and calmed down a bit. He put his arm around you and kissed your cheek. Lori looked at the time on her phone and got up off of the couch.

"I better get going, I told my parents I'd be home soon, they're probably worried,"she said.

She started walking toward the door, but then, Phil stood up.

"By the way, Lori," he said,"are you going to Prom?  If you don't have anyone to go with, you can go with me if you want?  As friends of course."

You and Dan both sighed.  Why as friends Phil, why are you doing this to us?

She nodded her head, and said,"Yeah sure, I'd love to!  I'll see you all tomorrow!"

You waved goodbye, and she left. Your phone immediately began to ring from inside your bedroom, and you walked back in to pick it up.  It was Lori.

"Hey Y/N? I lied, I was never planning on going.  I don't even have a dress!  What do I do?" her panicked voice said through the phone.

"Don't worry, I can take you shopping tomorrow at this place my mom took me.  Do you have money?"

"Yeah, I have some saved up."

"Ok, can you pick me up?  I can't drive."

"Sure."

"Okay, then I'll see you here tomorrow, bye."

"Bye."

You sighed and hung up the phone.  You layed back on your bed, and relaxed.  Shortly after, Dan walked in and closed the door behind him.  He sat down on the bed beside you.

"I wish one of them would just ask the other out already,"he groaned.

The sunlight poured in over you both through the window. He turned toward you as if he were about to continue complaining, but he got distracted.  His chocolatey brown eyes stared at you.

"Is something wrong?" you asked.

Dan's POV:

She looks so beautiful. I'd sound like an idiot if I told her that, but she really does. You know what? No. She needs to know how amazing she is.

"You're beautiful," I blurted out.

She smirked.

"No, I'm not."

"How can you say that? You're the most beautiful girl I've ever seen. I wouldn't change a thing about you. No matter how hard I try, I can't find a single thing about you that isn't perfect to me."

She looked up at me, and I felt myself getting lost in her e/c eyes.

"Do you really mean that?"

"Of course I do,"I said.

She kissed me, and I kissed her back, wrapping her up in my arms.

I think I'm in love with her.
