Welcome to the Illéan Star! Your magazine for all things Illéan!

As we are all well aware of, the Selection began this last week! We traveled on the planes with some of the selected to the palace, interviewed royals, went to the royal ball, and attended the meet and greet ball to get juicy news for you!

ROYAL INTERVIEWS

The first person I interviewed was Duchess Lucy, the wife of Duke Ryan. Our conversation was slightly interesting a few times, but mostly she was boring and had nothing good to say. I Started by asking her about the French Royals and who should take over as Queen once Arianna steps down. She just shrugged and said it wasn't something for her to discuss. She also said that she doesn't go into topics that don't concern Illéa. Hmmm. It seems as though Miss Lucy is implying that she does't care. Now that's just cold. Next I asked her about the rebels. She said that she understands their needs and we should attend to them. Let me ask you this, would you want to care for and be kind to someone that is trying to kill you and your family and blow your house up? I didn't think so. After that, I brought up the horrendous fight she had with the then King Nicolas during her time as a Selected. She was bashing on him and said that he didn't treat the women in his household right. From what I have seen, King Nicolas was a wonderful King. Everyone loved him, especially his family and daughters. None of them had a bad word to say about him. Perhaps Miss Lucy has a vendetta against him, as she doesn't seem to like him very much. She also mentioned how she broke the law once! She sold weed for a good week! Now tell me, would you want someone who sold weed to be one of the rulers of your country? I certainly wouldn't! She also claimed that she was very mature for her age as a child, and never played a prank on anyone. Yea, that sounds believable.

The next person I interviewed was Lucy's oldest daughter, Princess Kaitlyn, who so rudely interrupted my interview with her mother. Like mother like daughter I guess. Princess Kaitlyn, who kept insisting that I call her Kat, does not like the selection at all and thinks it makes her seem like a prize. She went into this big long speech about how a woman is not defined by her clothes and makeup or something, honestly it was so boring I almost fell asleep. She mentioned how she hoped that the suitors will be repulsed by her offensive behavior. What a great way to start off the Selection. I then asked her about her swearing habits and what her mother thought about them, and then she went into another speech about how her mother is a great mother and I shouldn't imply anything...it was even more boring than the one about how women need to be treated fairly. Like her mother, I asked about France and who should be the next queen. And like her mother, she said "not my kingdom, not my concern." I guess she truly is her mother's daughter, and does't care about anything that doesn't concern her.

After talking to the mother-daughter duo, I needed a break from stuck-up royals, so I talked to the youngest son of King William and Queen Sionnach, the handsome and polite Prince Rolin. Rolin was such a gentleman, from the way he sat, to the way he spoke, right down to the finest detail. Maybe his cousin Kaitlyn could learn a thing or two from him. Rolin talked about how he was looking forward to meeting the girls and having fun. He mentioned how he is disappointed that his sisters and female cousins will have to be marrying down the social ladder, and not up, but I agree. The women of the ruling family deserve so much better. He then talked about how he hoped to find love in the Selection, like his parents did before him. That's so sweet! He also said that his mom, Queen Sionnach is an amazing queen, and I think we can all agree with him on that. He also spoke highly of his brothers and sisters, and said they would all make wonderful kings or queens. What a great boy!

Princess Adelaide, the young daughter of Princess Royal Lindsay, the sister of the King, was the next on my list to be interviewed. She was absolutely adorable and we talked for a long time. All of the Selected ladies and gentlemen would be lucky to have her as a friend.

Don't even get me started on Alissa, oh sorry, Princess Alissa. The oldest girl never even showed up for her interview! Talk about irresponsible.

Prince Rolin was a wonderful person to talk to, and I thought his twin sister, the so called "diva" and "drama queen" would be equally as wonderful. Boy was I wrong. No, she wasn't as bad as Alissa, and actually showed up for her interview, but she just got on my nerves. My talk with her was actually pretty boring for the most part. I wonder if the "drama queen" is waiting for later in the Selection to show her true colors. She talked about protecting her sister or something like that, how she could kick out a Selected if she wanted too, and mentioned something about being protective of her siblings and how she hates change. She predicted that it will appear as if her oldest brother, Prince Logan, will be making all the decisions regarding elimination, but in reality it will actually be Alissa deciding who's to go and who's to stay. So even Megan says that her older cousin is sneaky and untrustworthy. Watch your back around Alissa. Next, I asked Princess Megan if she thinks Alissa is a snob and she replied, "I'd say she is a...snob." She talked about how the rebels are selfish, which I actually agree with. Hopefully the diva princess will have better information next time.

Prince Preston was the last royal I interviewed. He was so awesome! He was wonderful like his cousin Rolin, but in a different sort of way. He was down-to-earth and straight to the point and told some pretty great stories. If only his older sister could be just as great. Speaking of Alissa, he said "of course she's a snob. It does give me more reason to annoy her." He then talked about a few pranks he's pulled on her over the years. I asked him about some pranks, and he said he isn't going to give anything away. Guess we will just have to wait and see what he is cooking up in that brilliant mind!

So there you have it! The interviews with some of our fantastic (and not so fantastic) royals! Stay tuned for more throughout the selection!

NOTEWORTHY

The Meet and Greet Ball happened this week! The royals finally got to meet the Selected ladies and gentlemen! There was a mishap though! Five unlucky selected had their hair dyed a bright green! These selected are: Lady Lucy, Sir Tellesko, Lady Maisilyn, Sir Ashton, and Lady Thyme! Perhaps these selected are actually lucky, as the royals are sure to remember their bright green hair, which may give them an edge during the competition. We don't know for sure who was behind this prank, but we have a feeling that Prince Preston, Prince Colton, Princess Megan, Princess Elizabeth, or Princess Adeline were involved somehow.

During the meet and greet, we saw something interesting. One of the selected gentlemen, Sir Sky, was seen running around with Prince Rolin! Apparently there was some chemistry between them! Will Skolin sail? We aren't sure yet, but we will keep a close eye out!

That's all for this issue, Illéa! If you have some JUICY news or gossip, PLEASE contact my office in Angeles! (pm me! and please do, I need juicy stuff! Even if Jessamine has to bend the truth a little...)

We will keep you posted Illéa!
