Chapter 27 - I don't think she's going to be okay

"Renne I have breast cancer", she cries.

"Oh my gosh mom!", I cry.

"I wish you were here right now so I could hug you and tell you it will be alright mom! I'm so sorry!", I explain to her with tears falling down my cheeks.

"Me too babe! The doctor told me they could do surgery and it would most likely cure it", she explains trying to stay positive.

"That's great mom", I answer.

"And after my surgery I'm going to come help you plan your wedding. And I promise I won't miss out on it and I'm not going anywhere", she explains.

"Thank you mom. I'll talk to you soon, I love you!", I say.

"Love you too", she says. I hang up the phone and cry into my hands.

"Babe what's wrong", Blake asks hugging me.

"My mom has breast cancer", I explain crying into him.

"Oh my gosh babe I'm so sorry", he says hugging me tighter. I continue to cry into his arms.

"I'm so scared she won't be here for our wedding, or hear Madeleine's first word, or be here for her first steps", I say continuing to cry.

"Babe I can't tell you that it will be okay or that she won't pass but, I don't know anything for sure and neither do you. So let's just hope for the best and spend time with her as much as you can", Blake explains wiping my tears.

"I know your probably right", I say.

"Yeah I know I'm right", he smirks. I pick up Madeleine and enjoy her company. I talk and play with her until she falls asleep.

Another month passes by. Sweet Madeleine is getting so big. She is 7 months now. Mom's surgery went fine. She is coming to help me plan the wedding in a few days.

Ring...ring....ring....

"Hello", I answer.

"Hey honey I have a surprise", she tells me.

"Yeah what is it", I ask.

"I'm at the airport", she says.

"Oh my gosh I'm coming to pick you up", I tell her excited to see her. I dress Madeleine and put her in the car. Blake doesn't come because he has a job interview for engineering. I hurry and put Madeleine in her car seat and pull out of the driveway. We get to the airport and I pick up Madeleine and go inside.

"Hey mom!", I yell hugging her as tight as I can.

"I missed you so much", she says hugging me back.

"Hi Madeleine", she says greeting her. We all go to the car and drive to the house.

"So I have some news", Morgan tells us.

"Yeah?", I ask getting worried.

"The cancer is completely gone for now", she smiles.

"Oh my gosh mom that's amazing!", I say hugging her. We pull out a book of wedding ideas and start looking. We first look at center pieces for the tables in the reception.

"So do you have any ideas?", she asks.

"I like red", I tell her.

"How about this?", she asks. It's a glass vase with a candle inside. On the outside of the vases on the table there are red rose petals down each table.

"It's perfect mom", I tell her. Now that we have decided the center pieces we eat dinner and I put Madeleine down for a nap.

"Guess who", Blake says covering my eyes from behind me. I turn around and kiss him a few times.

"How was the interview", I asked him.

"I got the job!", he says excited.

"That's great babe", I say kissing him again. It's about 10:00pm and mom goes upstairs and goes to bed.

"So how is Morgan doing", Blake asks concerned.

"Her cancer is gone", I tell him.

"Oh my gosh Renne that's great babe", he says picking me up and spinning me in circles. He carries me upstairs and lays me down. He kisses me a few times and makes sure Madeleine is safe asleep. He then gets  in bed and I lay on his chest.

"I love you so much Renne", he says kissing my forehead.

"I love you more Blake. Thank you for being my everything", I tell him.

"You're my everything Renne Wilson", he says kissing me again.
