3 months' time lapse....

Time moved quickly for Shivaay and Anika, which is only because they kept themselves busy with every little thing. They had made their jobs the main focus of their lives. They became the best in their fields. Shivaay took over more businesses, Oberoi Empire was once again leading the stock market. Everyone wanted to do business with them. During the day they were successful and popular in the own fields. But at night Shivaay and Anika longed to be with each other. Anika still managed to get sneaking glimpses of Shivaay thanks to Rudra and video calling. Technology was great sometimes and sometimes the biggest cause of grief.

The last time Anika saw Shivaay via video call was when he carried a woman into the house, 3 months ago. The image of Tej uncle carrying in Svetlana flashed before her. Anika's heart iced over when she saw Shivaay care for this woman. Bade mom had told her not to become another Jhanvi. Anika had to remind herself that she had no right over Shivaay anymore. She didn't even have the right to feel jealous. She herself brought them to this place in their lives. Anika had asked Rudra to stop video calling her since that incident. From that day on, Anika became a machine. She made it her mission to make New Beginnings super successful. During the day Mahi and Anika worked to the bone but they still came every night studied. Anika and Mahi decided to study via correspondence. They had gotten their High School diploma and now they were second year business studies students. Anika did everything she could to be busy. As much as she tried to push Shivaay out her head, he was always there.

Mahi was fluent in English now, he had to admit he missed his 'dinchak' clothes but jeans and plain shirts was not so bad either. Anika made him change his hair colour he didn't understand but Rudra had explained that Shivaay's hair colour changed. Anika had told him that black would match his eyes. Seriously, thought Mahi was that the best excuse she could come up with. Mahi knew that she was trying to make him look different from Shivaay. All his life he tried to run from that face, so now changing a few outer appearances doesn't make a difference to him. Business was awesome. They actually became quite famous in three 3 months and was very busy but Anika managed everything. Mahi just followed her instructions. Khanna was no longer around so Mahi became her shadow. Anika became obsessed with education. She wanted to learn everything. Mahi still heard her cry at night and he still played her a lullaby. So much has changed yet so little has not.

Shivaay was just living each day. He made a new friend, Ragini. Ragini had met with an accident, he knocked her, she became his responsibility but not like how Anika had become his responsibility, he felt guilty. Pinky was already hearing wedding bells. Shivaay on the other hand did what he had to. He played good business man, the good son and the good friend, he was not sure about the good brother. Rudra was busy looking for Bhavya and Om his best friend Om was in a coma. He was going through the motions answering when questioned, smiling when it was required. But at night when he went back to his room alone, his heart hurt. He missed her. He know he is supposed to be angry with her but he misses Anika with every breath he takes. There are times he swears he feels her watching him. He even calls out to her but all he gets his silence instead.
