Chapter 10

A few weeks had gone by and their event on the top of the hill was a super success. Samar and Mahi became quick friends. Anika realised that she was too quick to judge him. Samar explained that her eyes were sad that is why he couldn't stop looking at. It's like his broken heart had recognised hers. He tried to make her laugh with his stupid jokes and shayari. His pain identified with hers. Mahi was relieved at least she smiled now, Mahi knew though that the smile did not come from her heart – it did not reach her eyes like before. The last time Anika smiled truly was when Om had called her. Om was okay, he had woken up from his coma. That was the last time she truly smiled.

Gauri had called Anika to the dargah today, now that Om was better Gauri had time and wanted to see Anika. Gauri had taken a mannat for Om that is Om got better. Chanda, Anika's friend was also getting engaged today. Chanda had done so much for Anika, Anika took over planning her engagement. Anika wanted Chanda's engagement to be special, just like how she would always remember hers. In this few weeks Anika only grew more numb. She became more like a robot. There was pictures of Ragini and Shivaay all over the media. He is moving on, she should be happy but it hurt so much. Mahi and Anika found out that Ragini was actually Samar's sister and Ragini loved Shivaay a lot. Last night when Samar met Mahi and Anika for sinner Ragini Samar had mentioned that they may have to plan his sister's engagement soon. Apparently Shivaay's mom was eager for the engagement to happen soon.

Mahi watched Anika function on auto pilot again. Anika was never far from Mahi's sights. Mahi was always on edge – it's like any moment could be that moment where his Bhabhi will break and this time Mahi knew it would kill her for sure. Ever since they saw Shivaay with Ragini on that cliff and the media articles started Anika had completely shut herself. Before in the 3 months she tried at least but no she just functions. Mahi thought maybe them becoming friends with Samar would help but their wonderful kismet, Samar turned out to be Ragini's brother. Mahi still tried to find out as much as he could about Shivaay but Anika had just given up. Anika was defeated and Mahi had no idea what to do to bring her back.

Shivaay continued on his downward spiral. He did everything that was out of character for him. He did not bother to correct the media, he just did not care. Now that Om was back, Shivaay knew his brothers was okay. His family was taken care off. Shivaay had noticed the way his mother kept pushing Ragini towards him. That actually made Shivaay feel sick. If only his mother had cared for Anika the same way maybe just maybe Anika would have not left. That ache was still eating away at his heart. The more Shivaay tried to run and hide the more it hurt. Shivaay tried everything to make this pain less, he was reckless getting into fights and he buried himself with work. The one good thing about Ragini was that she introduced Shivaay to Samar. Samar was Ragini's brother and a business man. Shivaay and Samar was like minded in business and like hearted in pain both their hearts was in pain. Samar had mentioned a few times that Shivaay and his new friend looked alike, if he didn't know better he would call them brothers joked Samar always.

Mahi and Anika was at the community hall getting things ready for Chanda's engagement. The place was set up already. Mahi and Anika was already welcoming guests. Mahi cleaned up good. He wore dark blue jeans, a white shirt and black jacket. Anika on the other hand wore a simple black lehenga with a lace dupatta. She no longer bothered with make up or jewellery. She had on her bracelet and ear rings. Chanda had called Anika asking her where she was. Chanda was waiting for her at the dargah. The hall was not far from the dargah so Anika decided to walk. Mahi asked her to wait he will come with her, she refused and said she will be fine. She turned back and told Mahi that Om and Rudra will meet him here as she ran to the dargah.

Meanwhile in the Oberoi mansion. OmRu and Gauri was thinking of a way to get Shivaay to come to the dargah. OmRu and Gauri have been thinking of ways to get Shivaay and Anika together but so far everything failed. Rudra had even let slip one night where Anika stayed. Shivaay had not reacted. Even Jhanvi had tried. Now that Om was okay, this trio had decided enough was enough. Pinky and Ragini could not see how Shivaay's pain. Gauri had plans to meet Anika at the dargah and OmRu was going to meet Mahi and Chanda's engagement. Om and Rudra went to Shivaay's room.
