"Dr. Reid?" One of the police men spoke as he poked his head around the door where the team was still sitting. He turned around in his seat, pen still in hand as he looked at the young officer. "Ms. Carter said she would only go home if you took her." Spencer seemed dumbfounded at the request.

Derek shot Reid a snicker and Reid just rolled his eyes. He turned to Hotch and opened his mouth to speak, but Hotch beat him to his words. "I want your full report on my desk tomorrow morning." Reid nodded and scrambled to gather his things. He followed the officer to where Mavis was. She seemed tired. He didn't blame her. Trying to sleep on the metal beds of the jail cell were uncomfortable.

She looked over at him and smiled a sleepy smile. The officer left them and they started to walk out of the station together. Reid slipped his hands into his pants pocket as they walked. He kept his head low and his hair slipped out from behind his ear.

"Where do you live?" Spencer asked as they stepped outside of the station. They slowly made their way to his car as she gave him specific instructions on where to go. "Got it." He spoke as he opened her car door for her. She slipped inside the passenger seat and he closed it behind her. He walked over to the drivers side and got in himself. He started up the car and made his way to her house.

She lived about fifty minutes away from the station. She had fallen asleep in the passenger seat which made Reid smile since it was probably the first wink of sleep she's had in a long while. He parked the car in the complex's lot. He moved his arm so he could place his hand on her arm.

"Mavis." He spoke as he gently shook her arm. She groaned and adjusted in her seat. "Wake up. We're here." She groaned once more which caused Reid to laugh.

"Don't laugh at me. I'm tired." She spoke sleepily.

"I know you are. Let's get you inside." He spoke as he turned the car off. She groaned as she adjusted once more in the seat and undid her seat belt. He unlocked the doors and stepped out, leaving all of his paperwork in the back seat. He rounded the car and held out his hand for hers. She grabbed his hand as she slowly pulled herself out of the seat. Her body felt heavy and tired since she finally got a taste of sweet sleep.

He walked her up to her apartment door and she unlocked it and opened it up. "Come inside." She spoke sleepily. He took a step inside as he slid his hands in his front pockets. She closed the door behind him making sure to deadbolt it shut. She wasted no time shuffling her feet to her bedroom where she flopped down on her bed face first. She climbed awkwardly on her bed and curled up with her pillows. The feeling of her bed is something she missed dearly.

Reid was standing in the doorway watching her move around her bed to get comfortable on it. "I'll um...see you around, Mavis." He spoke. She rolled over on her side to face him, a small pout on her lips.

"Stay. Please." She spoke softly. "I just don't want to be alone." Reid smiled slightly and nodded.

"I'll stay. Sweet dreams, Mavis." He spoke before closing the door to her room.
