The Much Needed Road Trip

After a good few hours of playing different tunes and rhythms, Tyler decided to go home. He gave Josh a good bye hug then walked out and hopped in to his car and drove home.
Tyler looked at the time on his
radio and realized it was past midnight.

"Crap crap crap!" Tyler cursed.

Tyler rushed out of his car and went to the door unlocking and opening it to see his parents waiting on the other side.

"Where have you been young man?" Tyler's mother questioned

"First of all, I'm not a 'young man' I'm twenty one. Second, I uh was with Jenna. Ya know, I think I'm finally over the whole being gay thing."

"Well that's good to hear son" His father said and pointed upstairs. "Now just go up and head to bed."

Tyler, even though he was 21 still lived with his parents so he nodded and obeyed his mother and father.

When Tyler got to his room, he laid down and looked up at the ceiling, thinking what life with Josh could be like. His crush on the pink haired boy started around the time Tyler was fifteen. Tyler smiled at the thought of being held close by Josh. The man that he loved could've easily been true if it weren't for Jenna and the fact that Josh was straight.

The next morning, Tyler woke up to the sound of his phone buzzing. He thought it was Josh so he quickly grabbed his phone of the counter and unlocked it. A disappointed sigh left his mouth as it was just Jenna asking about their next "date".

Tyler ignored her texts and started to text Josh.

Hey Josh

What's up Ty?

Woah! You answered​. What're you doing up so early?

Tyler....it's three in the afternoon.

Oh... Yeah right. Anyway wanna like hang out today?

Work on songs or actually hang out?

No songs. Just us.

Sick! I'll go over if you want.

Sounds good Josh see ya later

After a few minutes passed, Tyler heard a knock at his door. It had to be Josh, so he raced downstairs and opened it.

"Hey Josh!"

"what's up Ty?"

"Nothing. I mean like nothin' really."

Tyler was being very awkward. He didn't know why though. He'd talk to Josh normally before why couldn't he now?

"Um cool, I guess, anyway, what do you wanna do today?" Josh asked noticing Tyler being a bit, unusual.

"We can um we can go up to my room for a bit. Oh or maybe we can go swimming in the back. We don't use the pool much so why not right?" Tyler suggested and smiled awkwardly at Josh.
Josh shrugged. "I'm down with whatever. But uh do you have any clothes for me?" He asked. Tyler nodded and pulled him upstairs.
Tyler handed Josh some clothes and pushed him into the bathroom.

The two changed and headed out for the backyard which was pretty large. Tyler held Josh's hand as he pulled himself and Josh inside.

"Tyler! I could've died!"

"Oh calm down."

Tyler again was getting hypnotized by Josh's now wet body.
Why did this boy have to be so perfect? Tyler thought as he slowly got closer to him. Josh gave Tyler a somewhat nervous and awkward smile as he went under water.

"Oh right... He's straight. Can't act gay around him.." he mumbled quietly as he let out a sigh and joined the pink haired boy under the pools water.
