Pat POV
(A/N: I challenge you, the person reading this, to read this chapter out loud to a friend. XD)
I tremble as Jen pulls away from the kiss. I let go and back away shocked. Jen, s-she kissed me!? What? Why? This is our-I just-what? I don't-
"I'm sorry..." Jen mutters as she covers her face in embarrassment. "I just thought, no, I wasn't thinking, I'm so sorry."
"Hey, don't be sorry. I kinda, liked it?" I blush while saying that. I guess it's true. I mean I like Jen, I just got startled. I don't know.
"Really?" Jen looks up. She has tears in her eyes from embarrassment and looks as red as a tomato.
"I-I guess?" Ugh, why is this so complicated?
"I shouldn't have done that. It's our first date and I got cought up in the moment, I'm sorry." Jen says.
"Jen listen" I grab her hand which startles both of us. "It's okay, don't be sorry, you don't have to be." I pull Jen close to me. D-Do I kiss her back? I shake a little and hug her.
We pull away and a question pops out of my mouth without thinking. "Do you want to kiss again?" I slap my hand over my mouth and look down, embarrassed.
Jen looks up surprised. "U-Ummmm w-w-what?"
"Ohhhhhhh my Stars. I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to say that!"
Jen smiles at me a laughs a little. "Looks like we're both not thinking today, huh." We stand there awkwardly for a moment. "D-Do you want an answer?" Jen looks at me blushing even more, if that's even possible.
"I, uh, maybe?" I shrug. Jen shifts around a little. "Are you okay? You seem uncomfortable and... scared."
She looks down. "How about we change the subject."
I nod. "Agreed."
"Soooooooooo, how's life?"
"Don't know," I shrug, " how do you rate 'constant training without much rest' on the Awesomeness scale?"
Jen laughs. " I'll give that a 2.5, it could be worse. For me it's a 3."
"Are your parents still trying to make you more happy?" They've been acting strange for months.
"Yeah." She shrugs. "I'm lucky I can vent to The Guardian, or else I would have gone insane."
"The Guardian? What's that?" I ask.
"Oh, right, you don't know." Jen gives me a big smile. "Let me show you."
A/N: OMGod the crrrriiinnnggggg.
Like I said, I think, this is the first Romance story I've really written soooo.... *Facepalm into the wall*.
