Colours

When we met I was a sad blue
But you were a happy yellow.
Together we made a lively green;
It was a sight to be seen.

One day, you turned into an angry red
So I went back to being blue.
Still together, we made a deep purple;
I hoped you weren't trying to be hurtful.

You were seeing other people
Making colours far brighter than ours.
You were the happy yellow the day we met,
Mixed with my depressed grey: a colour I wanted to forget.

I cut you out of my life
And you didn't seem to mind.
Soon after, I became a mix of dark colours.
Oh how I regret ever becoming lovers!

You were the one that gave me colour,
But now that you're gone, I'm nothing but transparent.
I was an empty shell, no emotions inside;
I'm an empty shell, I'm glad that I died.
