Awake after death

Blood. All she saw was blood. Morgana was surrounded by blood in a pitch black room. She could make out the outlines of dead bodies. One of which she recognized. Which was probably why she was gasping for air even though she could breath.
Was this what death was like? A pitch black void of nothing but, corpses and blood. If so then she didn't want to be dead. She never wanted to die again. Then she took a deep breath. Well, she tried to.
"I-I deserve this. I-I deserve this." She repeated as her brain began playing every death she witnessed in her life. It was so damm bloody. Then she collapsed on her knees as she kept repeating the same thing. She was going to do this for eternity.
Then she heard it. Screams. Every dying scream of one of her victims or coworkers. The screams that haunted her daily. She shut her eyes tightly praying that it would stoop. Yet, she knew that wasn't going to happen.
Well at least, that's what she thought until she opened her eyes again. When her dark purple eyes opened she saw the roof of a ship. Then she raised her hand in front of her face just to block the light that seemed to be trying to burn her eyes. With a groan she sat up. Her stomach which was covered in bandages, stung with a bit of pain.
Morgana appeared to be in a med bay, of sorts. It wasn't like any med bay they had back in the facility or on her home planet. No. It seemed to be much tinier. Ugh. Either way she better get going. If she stayed around for to long the other squads would find her.
Morgana swung her legs over the side of the bed. With a sigh she stood up. Her left leg shook as she stood up. Quickly she grabbed onto the side of the bed so she didn't fall.
"I- I can do this."Morgana stated as let go off the bed side. The fourteen year old took five quick shaky steps over to the wall. She leaned against the wall to support her self. She let a shaky breath lose that she had been holding back.
"All I have to do is take three more steeps. Then I'm at the door. In a while I can escape." She stated as she tried to catch her breath. Her purple eyes remained on the door. Thirty seconds passed by before she tried to walk again. Soon she was leaning face first on the door while trying to find the button in a panel to the left to open it while sweating like a wild animal covered in fur on a hot, sunny day.
Finally, she pressed the right button. Soon she was trying to run down the hall way while leaning against a wall. That is until she ran into another door. She mentally cursed as she stopped to catch her breath and find the button to open the door. Sure her vision was a bit blurry from working out so hard but, anything was better than sitting in a bed, waiting for old friends to kill her. Then an idea ran through her head.
"Do I really wanna live?" She thought about it for a bit. To be honest she really didn't want to. Morgana had killed so many people. She had seen and done so many horrible things. All she really wanted to do was die. That is until she thought about where she was before she woke up. It was a horrible, dark place surrounded like blood. Maybe she wanted to live a lot longer. Then, once again everything else ran through her mind.
"Ugh. I don't know anymore." She thought as she let her leg shake more. Then as you could guess she almost fell. That is if someone hadn't caught her. So, Morgana ended up leaning on a person for support.
"Easy there." A masculine voice stated. Morgana looked up. The blue haired boy from before was holding her up. He smiled at her. She was going to smile back but, remembered what might happen to him if she stayed.
"I don't need your help." She stated pushing him away. It felt wrong to snap at him like that but, this was for his own good. Even though he didn't know it. Which was probably why he was looking at her in a weird way. She tried to stand but, almost fell again. Quickly the boy helped her stand still again.
"Yeah and I'm a loath-cat. Now let's get you back to the med bay." He stated helping her turn around. She tried to push him away again but, as you could guess almost fell. In the end she ended up letting him help her back to the med bay. Yet, she sat back down on the bed by her self.
"You know you're safe here, right? What ever you think you were running from isn't going to happen." The blue haired boy smiled.
"Why should I trust you? I don't even know you're damn name." She snapped back.
"It's Ezra. My name is Ezra." He smiled. Morgana rolled her eyes. She didn't want kindness. All she wanted was to leave to protect this pe-, Ezra. His name was Ezra.
"Look, I get it. You're all alone now and don't want to trust people. I was just like you awhile back but, it will help if you try to let people try to help. It's a bit easier than just bottling things like this up." Ezra stated. Morgana opened her mouth to say something when the door leading into the room opened. The Lasat stopped in his tracks when he saw she was awake.
"Oh. I see the little killers awake." Zeb scoffed as he looked at the girl.
"And I see you're a giant purple douche bag. Now can I get some alone time." Morgana snapped back. Zeb glared at her before leaving. Ezra began walking towards the door. He stopped before opening the door which was a couple inches away from his face.
"I would just like to thank you for not killing me. You could have but, you didn't. So no matter how you treat me or others, I know deep down you're very kind." Ezra smiled before leaving the room. For a second she sat there in silence after he left. She sighed as she closed her eyes. He wasn't right.
The kind girl she used to be died along time ago. Or did she? Maybe he was right. What if she was still was the same kind girl who let loath cats go when ever her brother tried to take on home? Just thinking about it made her giggle.
"You know, you're a lot more braves than what I was when I was your age." A famine voice stated as Morgana heard someone's feet clank across the metal floor with each step they took. She squinted open her purple eyes. A green women t'wilek with green eyes, stood a couple feet away from her.
"Yeah, and I am also Jaba the hutt." Morgana stated. The women giggled a bit. She sat up again to face the women. Something about her seemed familiar. Almost like she had seen her before.
"Have I meet you before?" Morgana asked. Something seemed really familiar to her. Yet, she couldn't quite her finger on it.
"No but, Kanan told me he might have meet you last week." The women smiled.
"I think I did. Well, if he's the blind one we definitely did." Morgana stated.
"Okay. Well, I am going to go get the plans for our next mission. I just wanted to see how you were doing." The t'wilek stated as she walked away.
"Oh and just so you know, you can stay here for as long as you'd like." She smiled.
"Okay, first off my name's Morgana before I say anything else. Second off,...I'd like that." Morgana blurted out. The women smile seemed to get a bit brighter.
"I thought you's like that." She smiled as the door opened. As she walked into the hallway she froze.
"By the way my name's Hera." Hera smiled. Then the door closed.
Oh shit. Morgana began violently sweating. She was Hera? As in Hera Syndulla? As in the daughter of Cham Syndulla? The man who she saved from a imperial soldier who tried to kill him after she was walking home to a mission? Oh god, no. She wasn't going to see him again was she? He was the only person who saw her kill someone and thank her for it! Oh lord. Hopefully if they meet again, he would not remember that.
Though she shouldn't care about that now. She should care about was staying alive for as long as possible.
