The teen's eyes shot open quickly. A bright white light blinded them for a minute. Which was familiar. Really familiar. Like they had been here before. Then it hit them. They were obviously in the med bay.
The rebellion med bay. Which meant that they had been saved by the rebellion. Saved from something. Something they couldn't remember. Something that was a fuzzy memory. Wait a second. Where was the crew? Did they leave them there and moved on? Did they assume they both died?
"Morning sleepy head." A familiar voice stated. The teen quickly turned their head to the left. Standing right there in the flesh was agent Kallus. He had a large happy smile on his face.
"Hi, agent dick head." The teen smiled. Kallus smirked realizing this kid was gonna be okay. Or at least for now. Until the shock of what happened sink in. After that, they were probably gonna die all over again.
"Good to see your feeling better after that 'nap'." Kallus smiled. He used bunny ears when he said the word nap. That is before his face seemed to fall. Almost as if he remembered something bad happened.
Then all came back to them. The ship getting shot down. It crash on the ground quickly. All the rebel bodies they saw. How the only survivor other than them was-. Wait a second. Where were they?
"Kallus wher-" Before they could even finish their sentence the door opened again. This time Hera was in the other side of it.
Her emerald green eyes were blood shot red. It was like she had been crying for hours. There were also dried tears on her face. The second she laid eyes on them she raced over to them. She hugged them so tightly, it was almost as if she was trying to hug them to death.
"Hi Hera. It's great to see you too." They smiled. Hera eventually let go of them just to look at their eyes. She placed her hand on their cheek, almost as if she didn't except them to wake up. Then she went back to hugging them.
"Mom, would you calm down." They smiled. Hera looked them in the eyes after they talked. Meanwhile the teen she just hugged realized what they said. They tried to keep calm while they died on the inside.
"What did you just call me?" Hera asked. Her voice was horse from crying.
"Hera. I said Hera." The teen stated.
"We'll talk about it later, for now I'm just glad your awake." Hera smiled.
"Well, why wouldn't I be." The teen smirked. Both adults in the room looked at each other. They looked like something wasn't being said.
"You were deprived of oxygen so much that neither of you were breathing when they found you. They worked so hard to save you two. To make you breath again. Yet, they said that you wouldn't wake up for at least a year. Yet, here we are two weeks later and your awake." Hera sighed. Kallus was bitting his lip. Like he was actually gonna bite through his lip. There was something he wasn't saying.
"Hera, where's-" They were cut off again when Crytsal was on the other side of the door.
She first rubbed the sleep out of her closed eyes. There were black bags under her eyes like she had been awake for hours. A loud yawn left her mouth before she opened her eyes.
The second she saw the teen sitting up awake, tears filled her eyes. There was no way that they were gonna wake up again. Yet, here they were. Awake, live as well as allying. She let out a high pitched scream as she raced over and hugged the teen tightly. It was like it was the last time she was gonna hug them again. She then began weeping on their shoulder as her grip tightened even more.
"I t-told them, I told them th-that it would work. I told the-then mo-mouth to mouth mi-might work. Th-they di-didn't believe m-me. Yet, t-they st-still tried i-it." Crystal sobbed.
"It's fine. I'm fine." The teen sighed into their ear. The teen hugged her back. They let her cry on their shoulder for a while. As soon as her sobs stopped they pulled her away for a second.
"Thanks for saving me and all but, where'-" They were cut off again.
"I didn't save you. That was Zeb. He made them break the roof on every ship we found. The last one hand you two in it. He dragged you both out." Crystal smiled whipping away what was left of her tears.
"In that case remind me to thank him when I see him." They smiled. Just then the door opened. This time standing there was a large purple alien male standing next to a blind Jedi.
The Jedi looked as if he had just as much sleep as Hera had. Meanwhile Zeb looked like he had been crying. Zeb froze in his spot seeing the kid was awake. They were alive! Despite what they were told, they were stilling alive and was talking!
Just two weeks ago he had been found his young crew members completely knocked out and not breathing. He had even begun doing CPR on one of those kids while a rebel did CPR on the other one before Crystal said to try moth to mouth. She took over after words.
He remembered what happened after they got to the base ever so clearly. Other rebels swarmed them looking to help. The entire ghost crew was told to sit and wait. They waited for hours. So many god damn hours until it happened. A rebel walked over and told them stuff. They told them that one of the crew members had suffocated to death while the other was in a coma for who knows how long. The only reason the only one of them was in a coma was because of who died first. That left the other one with more oxygen. Yet, it wasn't enough oxygen to keep their brain from shutting down their organs before trying to shut itself down.
After words, no one left the one in the coma's side. Crystal and Kan refused to sleep. They just sat there talking to the comatose crew member about everything that happened. Yet, everyone knew that there was a high likely hood that they weren't gonna wake up. Sure enough, here they were. Still breathing despite the odds. Despite the many horrid odds,
"Kid!" Zeb yelled running in the room. No one expected him to hug anyone ever in his life. Well, they were wrong. He was currently hugging the teen tightly. He thought he was never going to see one of this friends again. Meanwhile Kanan just raced into the room. He couldn't see what was going on. The man couldn't even tell that they were awake. That is until the spoke.
"Zeb, I gotta breath again." They smiled. Zeb let go of them quickly. His eyes were full of worry for a second.
"Sorry 'bout that kid." Zeb smiled. Kanan ran over quickly. He hugged them so tightly afterwards. Kanan felt a couple tears fall out of his blind eyes. He only had one child left and he was never letting them go in a mission again. Ever.
"Hi Kanan. Now is someone finally gonna tell me where-.........." They stopped talking. They stopped thinking. They knew where they were. The only person they had ever spelt their guts to was dead.
They could feel tears build up in their eyes for a minute. Kanan let go of them for a second. Quickly they whipped away the tears.
"They're dead aren't they?" The teen asked. Everyone froze for a second.
"Yeah kid. Yeah, they are." Zeb sighed. The teen just broke. Loud sobs came out of their mouth as large tears left their eyes. They broke down and didn't care who saw them break. Their friend was dead. Again. It wasn't their fault. They knew that. Yet, it still hurt. It hurt to lose someone that was close to them.
Crystal wrapped her arms around the teen. She let them cry into her shoulder.
"It's okay. It's okay. You're okay." Crystal sobbed with them. She repeated her self again. This time she was trying her hardest not to only sob.
"It's okay. It's okay. You're not dead Morgana. You're not dead."
Yet, Ezra Bridger was.
