She didn't except for this to happen. She didn't except the ship she was riding in to get shot down. She didn't except for the entire place to be blown up except for one room. She didn't except so many people to die. Neither did Ezra. Yet, here they were. The only two people who survived were stuck in the only room left on the ship they had stolen.
"So this is how I die." Morgana mumbled laying back in her seat. Ezra's attention turned back to her. She was leaning back in the only chair they had with her legs up on a broken control panel. Behind her was a cracked window shield that was completely covered in sand. Which mean that if it broke, they were probably gonna suffocate in sand.
"Stop thinking like that! We aren't going to die. The other rebels will come for us." Ezra snapped. To his surprise Morgana chuckled. She glanced up a piece him with a smile.
"I know they'll come. They'll come for you. Not me." Morgana chuckled. Ezra felt his blood run cold. Did she really think they were gonna let her die? Rebels were supposed to be saving their fellow rebels no matter what cost.
"You're a Jedi. You can use the force to do who the hell knows what. And what am I? I'm just a girl with a metal leg who's got a bit of PTSD. Ezra, they're gonna look for you cause your a reliable source of power they have. They need you. The whole god damn rebellion needs you." Morgana's smiled faded.
"They don't need me." Morgana looked a lot smaller now. She felt like she was just a speck of sand outside the window. A replaceable grand of sand.
"They need a Jedi. They need a trained force user. Some one who can make people chocking on air using their hand and has a weapon that could dismember people made out of a fucking light weapon. Not a person who has panic attacks every time they're even need a god damn fire." Morgana sighed as she face palmed. Her eyes were filled with a look of defeat. Ezra knew she wouldn't say anything about this unless she thought they were gonna die. He could see a bit of tears on the corner of her eyes.
"All because fate wants me to die." Morgana mumbled.
Morgana was gonna break down completely in minutes. She had once said she wanted to die. The young girl didn't have anything to live for at that time. Yet, things change. All she wanted to do now was live. Fate is a cruel thing. It had already damaged her so much. So god damn much.
It was fate that had the trooper over hear her father soaking up tansy the empire for once in his life. It was fate that had caused the trooper to shot perfectly for once. Fate had been the thing that had gotten her father killed.
It was fate that some imperial had heard force users were in her village. Fate had cause her entire village to be burned down. Fate had caused her brothers to be taken by a man in a black mask with a breathing problem to take them.
Then fate had damed her once again one night after she was forced to move into her sister's house. Fate had gotten her kidnapped and turned into the monster she was today. Fate had caused her to lose her first love. Fate had caused her to loss all her friends. Fate had cost her so much and yet here it was again. Here to ruin her life one more time.
The only times she had made her own fate was when she had seen that bomb on that mission. When she had stepped on the bomb and lost her leg, that was her making her own fate. In a way. She had expected to die. The same thing as when happened when she took that bullet for Ezra. She wanted to die. Yet, fate kept screwing her over by keeping her alive until she was finally happy. Then it was going to kill her.
"I hate to admit it but, I used to think they need Kanan more than me." Ezra sighed sitting on the sand covered ground. Morgana's looked up quickly. Her eyes feel on the 18 year old boy who reminded her so much of her brother.
"I used to hate everything I did. I used to hate my self because of a mistake I made a long time ago. I used to wish I was dead. I used to think that if given the choice the rebellion would have crossed Kanan to rescue him over me. Yet, I was wrong. I was so wrong. They saved me over and over again after that mistake. So, no matter what you say I know they'll come for the both of us. Though I kinda have to admit I kinda wish they would leave me here." Ezra sighed. This was it. He knew one of them might not make it it if there alive. So, he was gonna spill his guts, so Morgana could tell crew what was in them. They would know how sorry he was about causing Kanan to go blind.
To his surprise Morgana sat down next to him. She leaned up against his shoulder. The second he looked at her he was surprised to see a smile.
"How many times did you try to kill yourself?" Morgana asked. Ezra was shocked but, he still bit his lip.
"20 times. Each time something I couldn't control stopped me." Ezra sighed.
"I guess you weren't as dedicated as me then."
"What do yo- how many times to you try it?"
"32 times. I tried to jump off of building, I jumped out in front of a transport ship and I stepped on a bomb. The only things I gotta outta those experiences was losing a leg. The rest just kinda happened on his own. How many people have you killed?"
"Like 23. How many have you killed?"
"67 no wait, 71. I killed 71 people."
"That's a lot. How many people have broken you?"
"Only three. What about you?"
"Seven."
Everything was silent for a few seconds. That is until Morgana started laughing. Laughing very loudly. She was laughing at this. Just all of this was to much. They were so fucked up that Morgana kinda found it funny. Ezra began laughing with her too. Do they know why? Nope. Yet, it kinda let some stress out of the situation.
"We're the kind of teens are we? We killed people. We've tried to die on our own terms. What the fuck did the universe do to us?" Morgana eventually asked.
"A lot of shitty stuff." Ezra smiled.
"Oh god. What the fuck would our parents say if they saw us both like this?"
"Probably watch your language."
"You know my brother and my cousins would probably agree with us if they were still with us today. Oh god, they'd probably be laughing with us. They'd be so fucked up." Morgana couldn't breath she laughed that hard. Ezra just continues to laugh with her until they were both gasping for air.
After that they just sat there and told each other things. Things they expect to say to their kids or someone else on their death bed.
Morgana told him all about her family, her depression, her suicide attempts, her first girlfriend, how she was an offspring of an affair and what Lilith treated them all like. Ezra told her things to. He told her about his family, his succeed attempts, how his plan to adopt a loath cat when he lived by himself failed, how he had his heart broken by crushes before, how many times people on the street would beat him till he broke and even how he had hoped to go to her wedding in the future.
Then Morgana admitted she loved love songs. She loved all kinds of music as well as how she learned to dance. Yet, she loved to sing and dance to love songs. Meanwhile Ezra admitted to her that he knew the entire sound track to a musical. Eventually upon realizing they both loved the same song, they just both began singing. It was something that they hadn't done in a while and probably never except to do again.
Their voices cracked so many times while singing they eventually ended up laughing their asses again. Then, they began singing again as Morgana snorted every time she sang. They were pretty sure they were gonna die of laughter before anyone found them.
That is until they realized they had been here a while. By a while, they meant hours. Which meant no one knew they were alive. No one knew they were here. Either that or they were told not to look for them. Or simply put no one was coming to get them. Which meant they were going to die together.
Upon realizing this, Morgana started to cry. She cried her ass off realizing that she was actually gonna die. A while ago she would have smiled and been so happy. Yet, how all she wanted to do was live. To look for her brothers. To look for anyone.
Ezra took one look at her and realized why she was crying. He tried to hold back his tears realizing what was going to happen. They were going to die. There was nothing to do to stop it. Instead he started crying his ass off while hugging Morgana. Morgana hugged him back tightly.
Eventually a bit of time passed. The air started to disappear. In fact both teens were now gasping for air.p over and over again while holding each other in a hug tightly.
"A-at least I-I g-go-got t-to di-die wi-with a g-goo-good fri-fire-friend like y-you." Morgana gasped for air as she hugged him tighter. Ezra hugged her back.
"I-I'm ha-hap-happy abo-bout th-that to-too." Ezra gasped hugging his friend. Tear were still dripping out of their eyes onto the floor.
"I-I li-lied ab-abou-about Cr-Cryst-Crystal. We-we're dat-dating." Morgana gasped out again.
"I-if yo-your ha-happ-happy th-the-then I-I wou-would ha-hav-have supports t-till I-I die-died i-if th-that was-wasn't rig-right no-now. Y-your l-like a-a yo-younger sis-sister t-to m-me." Ezra stated making sure he was hugging as he gasped for air. He knew all she need was a hug right now,
"Y-your l-li-like a b-brot-brother t-to m-me to-too," Morgana gasped as her world got darker. Her arms were still wrapped around Ezra when they heard something b was the roof off of the ship.
Fresh air enter the room but, not in time to keep both teens from passing out. The rebels who came after them picked them both up and carried them to the ship. Zeb was there too supervising the whole thing with Crystal. Yet, what worried Zeb the most though was that he didn't think that either of the teens were breathing.
