Heartbreaker

Chapter 16

Emily's doorbell rang as she finished up her makeup. Rocky didn't blow her off! She threw on her converse, and ran to the front door. 

"'Sup babe," Rocky smirked. 

Emily grinned, and threw her arms around his neck. 

"Woah, miss me?" Rocky chuckled as he wrapped his arms around her waist. 

"A little." 

"Well let's go then!" he said taking her hand, and leading her to the car. 

He opened the car door for her, and she hopped in. 

"I was kinda worried you'd blow me off," Emily confessed, as she tucked a piece of hair behind her ear. 

Rocky shot her a regretful look, "I'm sorry Emily, I didn't mean to blow you off on purpose. I was just...busy." 

"I understand," she replied. 

As she said that, Rocky's phone began to ring. Both of them jumped and glanced at it. Rocky snatched it up, and scrambled to pull over. 

"Sorry...I have to take this," she said stepping out of the car.

"Ok," Emily nodded.

She played with her fingers, worried, as she waited for Rocky to finish. 

"I'm really sorry," Rocky frowned, "But I have to drive you back." 

"What? Why?" she asked confused.

"Sorry...but something came up." 

"Oh," she sighed.

On the drive back everything began to build up in Emily. Her anger, her heartbreak, her fear. 

"So what is this something that came up?" she asked Rocky once they were inside her apartment. 

"It's nothing really," Rocky shook his head. 

"So why won't you tell me?!" Emily yelled, tears welling up in her eyes. 

"Woah...woah...," Rocky whispered in shock. 

"What is so important! And I know it's not a bandmeeting 'cause I was talking to Rydel earlier!" tears began to flow down her cheeks. 

"Why do you wanna' know so bad!" Rocky retorted. 

" 'CUZ I THINK YOU'RE CHEATING ON ME!" 

Rocky shot back, he couldn't believe she thought that. 

"And what about this huh?!" she scremed holding up her hand with the ring. "You said you would be there," her voice cracked. 

"I can't believe you would think that! And I'm sorry if I can't be with you every second!" 

"I saw you post the pictures of you, Emma, and Rydel shopping! And you told me it was just you and Delly! YOU LIED TO ME ROCKY!" 

"You don't understand!" Rocky defended himself. 

"No, YOU dont' understand! YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT IT'S LIKE TO HAVE YOUR HEART BROKEN MULTIPLE TIMES! AND I THOUGHT YOU WERE DIFFERENT! I TRUSTED YOU ROCKY! AND I THOUGHT I WAS DIFFERENT! But I guess not, 'cause saving girls then dating them afterwards is a normal thing for you!" 

"YOU'RE NOT EVEN LISTENING TO MY SIDE OF THE STORY!" 

"Take your stupid ring and get out of my house," Emily said firmly, pressing her ring into his palm. 

"Fine!" 

"Have fun with Emma since she's way better than me!" 

"Okay! She's a way better listener too!" Rocky yelled as he slammed the front door behind him.
